    First of all, a massive thank you to JohnWPB and Blue_ZX3 for all your hard work making DigitalFX and RRMedia, you guys are brilliant!!!

    On a side-note, shortly after updating to DigitalFX 4.0 I started getting the ol' "1 inch wide vertical bar in the middle of the whole screen with nothing else on either side" problem on the DFX skins but not on BMV2. IIRC it started after using the new RRconfig (5/27/08) but not the new RoadRunner.exe. I tried everything I can think of to rectify it, here's a summary (in chronological order):

    - Replaced the new RRconfig.exe with the original, deleted RR.ini and re-run RRconfig
    - Renamed the C:\Program Files\RoadRunner\ folder to C:\Program Files\Road Runner\ and corrected all the RoadRunner paths in RR.ini and Skin.ini, corrected shortcut icon paths
    - Uninstalled DFX3.0
    - Deleted DFX4.0 (as it is not in the XP Add/Remove Programs) then reinstalled
    - Deleted RR.ini and started afresh
    - Same as above but this time after updating Roadrunner.exe and RRconfig.exe to v5/27/08
    - Renamed Road Runner folder back to original (ie. ..\RoadRunner\)
    - Tried selecting different Background paths ie. C:\Program Files\Road Runner\Backgrounds\, C:\Program Files\Road Runner\Skins\DigitalFX 3.0\DFXBackgrounds\, C:\Program Files\Road Runner\Skins\DigitalFX 3.0\DFXBackgrounds\
    - Deleted RR.ini and started afresh (again)
    - Reinstalled DFX4.0

    On another side-note, while trying to get DFX4.0 to work, COM errors were popping up (two of the ones that appeared on this thread), the last one wouldn't disappear until I exitted a program in the Systray.

    I've now run out of ideas. Can anyone please help?

    Cheers guys!

    I can't seem to get anything working right. My music browser or playlist browsers both freeze when I click them. I have installed the newest binary, the newest config editor, and iguidance v4 with the alternate .exe that is on the digital fx website. I also tried adding the usedx=false command because I read that fixed someone else's problem with the music browser somewhere else in this post. Any ideas on how to fix these would be greatly appreciated

    EDIT: Taskman also locks RR up

    I only ask because the original places me about 4 towns over and I am sure it is similar for others. Midwest... what can you do?

    If RR locks up on any screen that has a list in it then it is most definetly a ilist problem. Did you check both your rr.ini and the skin.ini for that usedx line? If you have it in both places the skin.ini will override the one in the rr.ini.

    Thanks.... As far as the COM errors are concerned, I am in the process of dealing with that now and will have an update to fix these issues.

    Thanks for the fast reply. I just checked my skin.ini and it was set to usedx=true so I changed it to false, saved it and relaunched RR. It is still locking up

    Go to the adobe website using IE and update your flash - see what that does.

    iGuidance and RR probelms, only in DFX4.

    I am having a problem. Several times on a trip yesterday, when hitting MENU in the iGuidance screen to return to main menu, RR is completely crashing and i get desktop. Restart of computer etc did not fix this. If I default to DFX 3 I have no problems..

    Also still having problems with the "toggle layout". Sometimes when iguidance goes into "guidance" mode the layout will automatically toggle to the default, without me touching or selecting anything.

    One more: In gauges screen elevation bar on the left stops at 2400 feet. The readout on top is correct but the bar on the left stops and freezes at 2400 feet as I said.

    There is a WeatherEurope.ini file in the folder. In it you set your language, Continent, and Country. For instance for France, it would look like this:

    [Weather Settings]
    Language=FR
    Continent=Europe
    Country=FR

    As a Side note, this also works for just about anywhere in the world! I got the U.S. working with these settings:

    [Weather Settings]
    Language=EN
    Continent=NorthAmerica
    Country=US

    So it's just a matter of putting your country's information to make it work. I can not, for the life of me, figure out how to change it to Fahrenheit though If someone wants to try and figure it out, using the above URL, that would be great, I would immagine there has to be a way to do it.....

    The Radar button will be a multipurpose button. Tap it to bring it up the way it is now, and Press and HOLD to bring up the new map. (I will put a + symbol on the button, like the rest of the skin, to notate that it is multipurpose. To switch which is which, just swap the two commands in the skin.ini.
    Hi

    Where can I get the script and europeweather.ini?
    Great job on the skin btw Soon finished setting up my carputer. Weather is one of the few things i`m missing
