On a side-note, shortly after updating to DigitalFX 4.0 I started getting the ol' "1 inch wide vertical bar in the middle of the whole screen with nothing else on either side" problem on the DFX skins but not on BMV2. IIRC it started after using the new RRconfig (5/27/08) but not the new RoadRunner.exe. I tried everything I can think of to rectify it, here's a summary (in chronological order):

- Replaced the new RRconfig.exe with the original, deleted RR.ini and re-run RRconfig
- Renamed the C:\Program Files\RoadRunner\ folder to C:\Program Files\Road Runner\ and corrected all the RoadRunner paths in RR.ini and Skin.ini, corrected shortcut icon paths......................

........I've now run out of ideas. Can anyone please help?

Also try opening up your rr.ini and chck to see if Fastmode is set to -1.

BMV2 don't have one you can switch on/off; you'll have to add the code manually. You might get better response if you ask the question in the skins forum. Maybe somebody has done it already.

i want to say that this is a great skin. thanks for all your hard work. I am on page 133 of the thread looking for answers to my question. (had to make note so i know where to pick up later). I found answers to many questions but still have a few. I f i dont find them in the last 40 or so pages ill ask. im a newb, please dont be to harsh.

For now Id like to please request humbly that a new 4.0 thread be made. it has been very daunting task reading through all these. my ast version was 2.0 so i needed the review anyways.

I'm not even sure what I'm asking im just trying to get the browser part of this skin working?

There are just some machines that are having problems with using the ilist's. By default, both DFX's (3.0 & 4.0) have them enabled. The BMV2 skin does not have iLists at all as far as I know, it just uses the regular type lists instead.

Only other thing that I could suggest to try to get ilist's to work would be to reinstall DirectX. Latest one i know of is like 9.0c

can some 1 elp me with the BUTTONS and ICONs associated with them...
I am trying to change a few buttons... Which change...but how do i get the Icons...
I am using the "" DFX Menu Button Editor "" ... But foe some reason i am not getting the icons....

Any suggestions...

I just built a new carpc with dfx 3 and 4. When i went to music playlist or the logo page all were blank.

I turned offi-list and they all appeared.

I had to reinstall directx, RR and the dfx4 then i could renable i-list and all do appear now BUT i cannot "flick" the playlist to browse music?

and yes i vote for a new thread on DF4 only please..

My ilist would freez my screen if i selected certian things.
Then I turned off i-list and they all appeared.

when your on a screen with a list, open the taskmanager and check RR cpu usage, if its something really high then your "flick" will be very slow, just as it is on my desktop. Once and awhile, it will actually work but this only happens on the DT so I don't really care b/c it works fine in the car..
