is there a way to change the location for the weather forecast?
I'm trying to find the location of the built-in calculator used for entering figures in the Utilities, Mileage and Trip option...the values in my calculator show up blank..
is there a way to change the location for the weather forecast?
Hi all!
I have tried to search for a response to my questions, but have not found any.
1) With the addition of the new song search database, is there a way to take the results of the search and create a playlist from it? I don't like to search for songs when I am driving, I'd rather do a search while at a light, and then play the entire list without having to pick and choose from the list.
2) I've had an annoying problem with winamp sometimes having the volume at zero when I startup Roadrunner and DFX4. Has anyone else experienced this?
3) I know its been said in various spots thoughout this thread, but I think it would be a good thing to post the optimum versions of Winamp, and RoadRunner for each release of DFX in the appropriate FAQ. Forgive me if it is already listed somewhere, but I have not found it.
When you do a search it creates a playlist called "results". Load the playlist and you're good to go.
Add "setvol;master;10" to the onstart line of your exectbl. The number is the volume percentage that you want RR to start at.
The optimal version of Winamp and RR differ depending on the user. I'm sure John has an opinion on it though.
I don't have volume at zero issues on start (thankfully) but this does nothing for me.
I have done some reading in regards to "setvol" through the skin commands and around here to set my volume at a predefined value regardless of what it was on shutdown and it doesn't seem to do anything when added to the exectbl.
Skincommands (RR) shows something like this "SETVOL;Wave;50" (substituting "Wave" for "Master" in my case) but it doesn't seem to work either (this might be me missing something though)
From my searching it seems that 5.13 seems to be the version to have for now.
Ya, after yo do your search as machinehead said click the "Manage Playlist" button and it will be the top one in the list aka "[Search Results]" then just load it.
The only two winamp versions that work best with rr are 2.95 and 5.13, JohnWPB and LS have tried many different versions and both have come to the conclusion that the 5.13 is best as also stated in the the dfx help file...
RideRunner...The #1 FE, PERIOD.
Current Project: DFXVoice [Beta Released]

Thanks Blue, I knew you'd come through! (Intentional Rhyme!)
So I did a bad thing by upgrading to Winamp 5.54? It seems to work fine....so far.
How would I (or should I) download an older version of winamp?
Kudos gentleman, for all your hard work and great interfaces.
