okay..ill try that..thanks!
Is there a piece of code I can add that would let me display altitude and/or lat/lon on the main menu screen where the clock is at?
John, I truly love your skin, but I just found an issue last night when I upgraded my RRMedia that requires your assistance. I now have four skins that utilize the RRMedia plugin. The issue I found is that all use the same 10 disk changer except DFX4. If I switch to DFX4 the previous skin's 10 disk changer is replaced by the current DFX user's 10 disk changer and when I switch to another skin from DFX4, RRMedia says all disks are empty.
I tried backing up all disks from within the other skins so when I go back to them I can restore, and this works for switching between the other three skins, but as soon as I use DFX, that restore file is wiped clean. Maybe in your next update, you can backup and copy the current user's 10 disk changer restore file back to RRMedia on skin changes to preserve the current 10 disk changer info for other skins to use. I have no idea how you would keep another skin's 10 disk changer settings when switching to DFX from another, maybe not load the user 's changer but just load its restore file in case the user wants to load it.
Another thing is how do I copy the cd changer data from one user to another?

I love DFX, but my less-than beefy system is running a little slower than I would like. Would turning off transparency improve the performance any? How would one go about doing that? I would imagine that I'd have to re-do all of the on/off images for the different screens with a fixed background -- do I need the original .psd files? Lastly, what features would be lost by going this route? Sliders, etc.?
You will not be able to run this skin w/o transp until you go through all the screens that you'd use and apply a background to both the off/on images other wise you get what the effect of nothing showing up until you mouse over the button images. One other small thing you could to at least on the main menus is to appy the button icons to the actual images as that would keep rr from having to constantly update all of those indicators.

I went ahead and compared the performance to the non-transparent Carwings, and it didn't seem to be enough of a difference to warrant all that trouble. I did pre-load some of the screens, which bumped up speed a ton (gotta love when the answer you need is already in the manual)
Also, it seems that I get two GPS indicators at the top of the menu:
Is that intentional? Deleting one should be trivial, but I was wondering if it's something I made happen in my tinkering...
