If you cant DODGE em, RAM em.
Thats, great to see the ODBII plug in. I have had the hardware for awhile, but never used it since I had to switch to another app.

i went with gamma settings because it seemed the easiest and only solution that was aware of time.
my only problem is that while gamma works great, it really takes a lot of quality out of the picture. Sure, it's darker but it makes viewing angles and colors messed up in different ways. The dimmer overlay is great because it dims the screen equally and doesn't distort the colors in any way.
Does anyone know how to make the dimmer time-sensitive? (if it isn't already...). If not, then I guess it is just a suggestion to add. I would love that feature
I made an additional playlist screen (a fullscreen playlist) but I can't seem to get the slider to work, i.e when I touch or click on the slider it doesn't move. Also when I touch or click on the screen where the songs are it won't highlight it or select it. Can anyone tell me what I need to do to get it to work? Thanks...

John, first of all, THANK YOU for implementing OBDII!! Second, any chance you could design those gauges to display any (user chosen) of the OBD values instead of the three you mention? Showing gauges I don't already have in my car would be far more useful than duplicating physical gauges...
Thresholds that change the gauge face color as a warning wouldn't be bad either! :-)
Thanks for listening!
@cdeldridge
look in the old PL skin file and copy over the ilist line starts with il. thats for your i list.
also the slider line the in editor the top 4 numbers are the postion of the slider and the next 4 are the touch area, just to start off make both sets of numbers the same , so the top set are the same as the 2nd set. should all work then
[quote=flat6;1274384]Unfortunately there is no way to make a "generic gauge". You have to set a bottom and top limit (0 to 8000 for the RMP, 0 to 300 or so for the Coolant temp for example, as well as having the correct scale of numbers on the gauge itself).
I am by NO means a flash programmer, and am no good at it. I am usually able to take an existing gauge, and alter colors, background ect, and thats about it. The flash source code for most gauges can be found in the forums, and would need to be altered for each gauge. One things I just can NOT understand, is that Oil Pressure is not a standard PID. There is so much info avail through the OBDII, but not one of the most critcal ones.
