I have been trying to get horz. & vert. sliding to work on my carputer. It works on my main desktop with both DXF4 & Carwings. But I can not get it to work on my carputer. Any ideas? I am running the latest 3/1/09 exe. I have a freash install of RR as of early Dec. I even reinstalled DXF4. I have been also posting in the small update post, but it seems that it might be a skin problem & not a RR problem.
I cannot get my DFX to show up, Ive installed, deleted and reinstalled. Ive installed dfx to roadrunner, riderunner, in skins folder etc etc. I have searched this endless thread to see if anyone has had this problem and found nothing.
It always reverts back to carwings dynamic. even tried deleting it and then RR would not open. Coming to you guys is my last resort of what else can I try to get this going. I apologize if im making an elementary mistake but rest assured I made every effort to remedy the issue before posting my problem.
after you run the config, and before you start RR, is there a resume.ini still in the RR folder? Should be, as the config deletes it, and dbl check that the skinpath setting in the rr.ini does in fact say ...\Dfx...
Make sure you change the Day and Night skins to the ones you want.
ie: If you just change the Day skin to DFX and the Night skin is Carwings and it is Night Time, the Carwings skin will load after the DFX splash screen. Look in the Gamma/Dimmer section of RRConfig to see when night time is set to.
A tear, as I am getting closer... the resume.ini kept kicking to carwings, finally got it to load the intro to DFX befor it turns into a vertical
bar... Which I read earlier I need to go into the rr.ini file and add fastmode=-1, I did that and nothing, does it go in one particular spot...
Im so close, thanks guys
If you used the config, it defaults that setting to -1, which is GDI+ for just about all the newer skins now. I also had a typo and after you run the config, you should not have a resume.ini.
