I will probably just do the video for now, I have a folder with some videos on C:\my docs and I am running out of room so I want to add a forty gig Ipod just using it as a hard drive with out Itunes or anything just a hardrive.
I found this : http://www.mp3car.com/vbulletin/rr-f...dio-video.html
but I don't understand it???
D:\Videos\;Extra Video Folder
Now save that from notepad as BROWSE.RRL (Make sure after you save it that the filename is BROWSE.RRL, and not BROWSE.RRL.txt)
Now just copy that file into your mentioned C:\my docs folder. Now when you browse the C:\my docs folder, you will see at the very top of the list: "Extra Video Folder". Just double click it, and you will then see all the files located in D:\Videos.
Essentially, it is just a shortcut placed in a folder, that points to any other folder/drive on your computer.
I installed winamp 5.13 as I was instructed in the help files. I received an error that said winamp has a compalibility error with the windows you are using. I then hit proceed so it installed and I tried to installed active winamp. active winamp just sets there and hangs. I was wondering if there is another version that will work. thanks
I am not able to get this working, my drive is E then movies.
so I changed all this to the correct names but still not working.
here's what I put in RRL: E:\Movies\;Extra Video Folder
Is Browse.RRL saved right not as rrl.txt? that's why I posted the pics...
Well it was saved as txt but I changed that now I can see the file in RR but I cannot go into it?
Is that because It is and ipod? I am tring to use the ipod as a hard drive not an Ipod.
Never mind I got this sorted out now!
While on the subject of videos, what do you recommend for codecs, I have had them locking up the computer,
please don't ask me which ones I have cause I don't know. I want to play mp4 and divx.
Glad to hear you go the browsing sorted out.
As for Codecs, I have always used the K-Lite Codec pack. It will install all of the codecs to play just about anything you can throw at the system.
Just download and install. No reboot necessary....
