but then there wouldn't be enough to go around.
When DFX 5 is up and running, will RR Voice be sort of "Pre Configured"? As of now I am using it but after seeing all the commands you (John) made for DFX 5 I decided to just wait for DFX 5 and not take the time to do it myself right now. At the moment, when I press my trigger for RRvoice, the volume doesnt lower or mute, but when the command is recognized it then lowers the volume for a second.
Just about all of the voice commands are pre-configured. You can VERY easily change them in the RRVoiceControl.ini to anything you want them to be though.
"Out of the box" the voice commands related to colume will be "Volume Up", "Volume Down", "Mute the volume", "Set Volume to [xx] percent" .
You can simply change the line that says "Volume Up", to "Turn up the volume" or anything you would like to speak to the system.
The nice thing about the way he did the .ini, is you can associate ANY voice command with ANY RR action.
Here is a section from the .ini for switching to either MPH or KPH to be displayed in the Gauges screen for instance.
[gps_status.skin]
k p h=SETKPH
m p h=SETMPH
miles per hour=SETMPH
kilometers per hour=SETKPH
miles=SETMPH
kilometers=SETKPH
english=SETMPH
metric=SETKPH
You can see, to set it for use with the metric system (International standard) you can say many different things such as "KPH", "Kilometers per hour", "Kilometers", or "Metric". These can be changed to anything that you want to say to the system and have it respond.
The above commands will ONLY work on the GPS_Status.skin, as that is the section of the ini the commands are located in. This makes the voice recognition MUCH more accurate, as only commands specific to the screen you are on are loaded into memory, and available as voice commands.
Lastly, after the = for the command, you can place anytyhing that RR understands to trigger. Say you want to go to menu 2 with a voice command, you can use
Please go to Menu two=load;menu2.skin
You can also use RR's "Talk" command to get confirmation back for any voice command, by just adding it to the end of the line with the double pipe command (||). Like this:
Please go to Menu two=load;menu2.skin||Talk;I have loaded menu two for your viewing pleasure.
To have a command such as "Turn up the volume" or any other command work anywhere at any time, simply place that command into the [Commands] section in the .ini. Anything in the [Commands] section of the .ini will work no matter what screen you are on. This is where commands such as next track, previous track, volume controls, scroll up/down main menu, weather screen and such are located.

"There are no bugs - only undocumented features."
I must be doing something stupid, or there's something seriously wrong here...
I installed the 2010 release of RR (installed just fine), tried to install DFX4, which crashed at "FixFlash", 22%. Had to manually kill the process. Tried a couple of times after that with various combinations of reinstallations, including turning off AV, firewall etc, to no avail.
BUT, now my default font in IE has turned italic??? What's with that? And I can't seem to find what caused it, or what to turn off, to restore it back. Is this an RR issue or DFX4 issue??
