Method 1. Create 3 gif graphics files, one with a play symbol (play.gif), one with a pause symbol (pause.gif)and one with a stop symbol (stop). In BottomButtons.txt file comment out the first line

Not usre how well the button will work under an indicator you may need to play with it.

Method 2. Create your own font where the work Play shows a play symbol, Pause a || and Stop a Square, replace the font name for the font name (DFXFont1) in the first line of BottomButtons.txt andd change the "=2" to "STATUS".

L,314,511,71,67,#DFX1R#,#DFX1G#,#DFX1B#,55,"<Your Font Name>","STATUS","CENTER"

Method 1 you will not have the colour change, Method 2 you will.

My online status shows "offline" when online with a wireless card ... is this "normal"?

new here but I've been playing with your previous versions of this skin for a while. Is there a way to add a thirty party app that will launch like iguidance? Like I have an engine tuning program that does my logging and stuff and I would love to be able to run that inside of roadrunner through this skin so I can switch back and forth easily from navigation, movies, engine tuning. Sorry if I've missed this as I've been reading as much as possible.

It shouldn't matter. It's pinging an IP address. As long as you have a network adapter that can access the Internet and ping the specific address listed, it will show "Online".

I'm currently running XM on this skin and works beautiful, I'm gonna be installing Sirius on it as well. My question is, I dont have Sirius hooked up right now, so when I go and press the doggie button, road runner just hangs, doesn't display a new screen just hangs. I dont know if its because I dont have the setup hooked up.

Can you guys verify this on yours?

especially RR's FAQ'S, stickies, and search is good too.
and also this is not a thread to post every single issue you have with RR, that's what the RR threads are for. almost everything you would ever want to know has been discussed at least 20 times so search is a good tool

How do I map other functions to buttons? can the text be changed on buttons? or can text be added to the blank buttons?

Simple, just hold the button down with finger and a list will pop up.

Whatever.......... it was a simple question..maybe too simple, I know how to go to the pre canned list of buttons but, much like the other poster above who you answered about the same, I want to use a button for something that inst on that list. and I have searched and I have read the f-ing manual and I am still asking because I didn't find a good answer in any of it.
I know I can change a button command but I thought there may be a more elegant way in this skin like in the Exectbl.ini file under "Dynamic Menu Buttons" I tried to add my app to one of those but it didn't seem to work.
Also when you go to the canned list of buttons there are "Blank" buttons, I also searched this and came up empty, can text be added and they be used to run apps that arent listed or are they just for looks if you want a blank button?

I am truly sorry brewdog if I have wasted any of your time or any of this forum space on a question that inst worthy of the space maybe when I grow up I can be perfect like you
