Hey Blue, seeing as how DFX 5.0 could still be many months away, when do you plan on putting out the 4.1 installer?

That would probably be a good time frame for 5.0 (though new installer is coming along nicely ) In the near future, no ETA but soon, as I am working on getting my stuff (read carpc back in car ) done that will be the next thing that i finish. Its ~90% done now.

the font on my icons seems too big. Any idea how to fix this or is it normal? I can take a screen shot if it helps.

A SC may better show what you mean exactly.

ok i had to reload switch back from windows 7 to xp and reloaded a fresh install of rr 4-1 release and dfx. now i cannot change the center logo (clok by default) without rr freezing. i did a search and found one mention that was no help. anyone else run into this how can i fix it?
I was trying to do a custom logo renamed and all that and neither that or a standard switch works. had it working just great before i had to reload. Please help it is driving me mad. Thanks guys

I also have this problem. Did a fresh ride runner and dfx 4.0 install with no luck. fwiw, i'm trying the pontiac logo.

Hey everyone, I am so sorry for my absence from this thread and project for some time now. I have been restoring a car, and have been using just about all my free time away from work on that for the most part. I have been correcting and adding a few things here and there, just not at the feverish pace that I was once doing it all

In the mean time, BlueZX3 deserves some SERIOUS props! He has been helping out in a major way to get the next version released. He set up an SVN server for the dfx skin, so any changes I make, and that he makes are incorporated. (Though lately HE has been doing all of the changes! haha )

I am back in China, and will not be back for another 3 weeks. Have been here two weeks already....

Blue has been working on the new installer, as well as fixing issues and cleaning things up. He has been doing this as well as trying to help with questions here in the thread. Again, he deserves a TON of credit and thanks for this! He has worked more on the skin in the past few months than I have for sure!

My last major project is to get the voice recognition working with a beta of Jebus's plugin that I have not had a chance to work with yet. It is now all .dll based, and functions as a true RR plugin now.

I know it has been a long time, well over a year, since the last update, but hopefully the time in between will have been worth it. It will be be much "tighter", cleaned up, and so many new features that its hard to remember them all at this point hahah.

As for locking up when changing the logo, I remember a problem with this, and it has to do with something with the line in the exectbl, it has been so long, that I dont remember exactly what it was now. It has been fixed for the next release though. In the mean time, If I remember, you can change the logo, it will lock up, but then when you restart rr, i beleive the logo that was picked will show up. As I am in China, cant really figure out exactly what it was causing it, but will look into it when I get home and post a fix here for it.

Thanks for understaing, and I can tell you the skin is not dead or abandonded, just taking much longer than expected

John, thanks for the update. Like many others I'm waiting on DFX 5.0 to have voice recognition and other cool stuff, but for now DFX 4.0 is all tweaked up to my liking and working great.

I for one totally understand that sometimes you just have to do other things, and sometimes you get tired of a project for a while and NEED to do other things. Thanks for all the great work in the past and for the update to come. Have fun in China!
