Good point and I completely agree with you on that. DFX4 is the probably one of the most (of not THE MOST) complete and functional skin to date and it would be great to have DFX5 as the new default skin for RideRunner (I have no doubts in Blue and John's abilities that's why I'm vouching for the skin even before its release )

bad news, the plug didnt work in germany. we use "ground fault circuit interrupter"

so, the only way to end my life is to jump behind a train or use centrafuse in time i drive left sided on the autobahn.

is it possible to make the next release more personal ?
with welcomes like the HAL9000 does. so i had the chance that my car pc gives me a little respect.

like "elisa" from the beginning of the C/PM machines ?

The biggest reason that this WILL never happen with DFX is because when trying to help solve user issuses and or RR bugs we (dev team) need to keep to the basics so that we can see if it's a prog bug or an improper coded skin. As you might notice when say Mitch asks for more info on an reported issue and will tell them to use thw carwings skin as the test bed.

Absolutely! This is somerhing i can Add quite easily actually. I will make it an option In the skin.

Ok, I thought that was gonna be easy

There will be a way in the skin to turn on / off the greeting (Text to speech) and or a pop-up screen that will go away after a few seconds. You can also enter the greeting on the OSK, all from within the new global skin settings screen.

So much for not adding anything more and just getting whats there 100%.....

I guess John aims to please. Although I'm sure nearly everyone has a suggestion or two about what else they might like to see in 5.0. I just can't wait to see what all is going to be in there. Modding it from there will be the way to go...if necessary.

its been a terrible wait, but news like this makes it worth it. i like your style- doing it how you think it should be, hell or high water. whenever it does release, its going to be a lot of fun. that greeting could be in a 'kit car' voice from night rider if you dont mind
