Ok guys, I have to say something here. First off, I am not pointing fingers at anyone in particular, or singling anyone out.

Please lay off the attitude, bickering, mud slinging, noob (new-bee) bashing and such in this thread!

No, I am not referring to just the last couple of posts. While I was gone, it seems some mud was slung back and forth. Thankfully, those doing the "slinging" realized the errors of their ways, and deleted their posts. I do thank you for that at least. As a moderator, however, I still see all of the deleted posts, with just an indicator next to it showing that it was deleted.

I do appreciate the help and advice that many of you have given in this thread, but please, and I ask nicely, be polite and courteous to other users. Anything else just takes the thread off topic, and starts little pi$$ing matches.

This is just a small warning, and lets move on and not mention it any further from this post on. No "but he said" or "But I didn't mean it like that". lets just drop it completely from this point forward. If worse comes to worse, and it does continue, I will start having to pass out infractions and such. Please, and I do say PLEASE don't let it come to that.

sounds like a lot of editting... One quick way i often use.... Now assuming you've not been brainwashed by Enforcer yet

, you can use other editor which will allow you to open several files. Just find and replace all opened files.. and Save them all.. of course make a backup copy before you start..

That's what i do for font size and color stuffs.. takes a min. to complete the whole thing...

Thats just it, its not just "find & replace" it is adding new code to each of the skins, as well as editing the 100 or so images to add the new indicator.

Its funny, when my fist skin, "Blue Devil" came out a couple years ago, then when DFX replaced it, then DFX2 now DFX 3, its just in the past day or so the play button has been brought up as not having a pause status

oops... sounds like it's gonna require a lot more than a editor..

Forgot about all that dynamic stuffs.... Personally i am good.. I hear nothing, that's good enuf of an indicator..

This option seems like a viable fix, can anyone with font creation expertise create a font for us to try? I would give it a go but I have no skills I am just a lame end-user

Also does this mean the change only occurs in one place or are we still editing all the skins?

If I sound cranky, blame it on all the time in the last 2 days with little sleep trying to go through all the upcoming media features in the next release with john. Working out the remaining bugs and making sure that everything is as user friendly as the rest of the skin is of which John has already put huge effort into making it this way....

I noticed the lack of a pause 'symbol', but it doesnt bother me. Figure, like you said, if ya hear music, it playing, no music, paused....

I'm just glad this thing works and for all the effort all the people involved put in it. Now, all I need to do is make my double din carputer case and stick everything in it.

I am trying to put the "screen_lock.skin as the start skin, but when I set it with ONSKINSTART in the ExecTBL.ini from RR folder, nothing happens, and when I try it on the ExecTBL.ini from the DFX3 folder, it works fine, but when I replace the wallpaper of the skin, it minimize the RR...

Could someone help me to solve that?

It's one of those projects that really begs for someone else to take it and run with it since John has enough on his plate.

Nope, always says offline when using a wireless card - on two different computers.
