How to become a beta tester
When It was done, it was not transparent to match the look and feel of the skin. This is something you fixed, and I then re-skinned it to match the skin better.
This is the only plugin that I could not configure and install with the skin, as you have asked that people download it from your site. I have tried to make everything in the skin as easy as possible for the end user, so it is pretty much install and go.
Just before I released 4.0, you had made a lot of changes to indicators and code and such, and I re-skinned it again to match.
You then mentioned you were working on a version that could be installed with the skin. I tested that, and it basically opened a web browser, so people could make a post in the thread, and then download it from there. This seemed a bit odd, and would be difficult in the car for sure.
I have spent a considerable amount of time up till now getting it all working correctly in the skin.
And, sorry, I do have to mention the whole "Me focus" comment... I think just about every person on this forum would tend to disagree with that I have spent literally thousands of hours on this skin, RR code, plugins, scripts and such, for everyone to use freely. On top of the work on the forums, creating new sections for released/not supported skins and such, helping others when I can with any skin/rr issues ect. Sure, donations are accepted when someone feels like supporting the skin, but I have never once stopped or told everyone I am slowing the development due to a lack of donations. The skin is free to use and download, no donations or registering is required in any way.
Lastly, yea, I never did get around to the UK version of the gas plugin. I have had so many other things I have been working on, and gas prices working in the skin, seemed almost like ok, thats part is done. Sure, I will cater more to things that I need, as when I created the skin, it was intended for my use. ALong the way that has changed with a ton of support for GPS programs I have never heard of and will never use, and and the same for an array of radio, radar detectors, sensors ect ect....
on the bug tracker page I see most tasks coming only from Carputer1 and few by Gizmo because Blue is co-developer so I won't count him. So what's happening with all other beta testers??? Maybe they need a hand...
The biggest reason why carputer has the most posted tasks is that he DL'd it not tool long after he got the link, GizmoQ on the other was busy and said that he'd look at it this WE.
We aren't taking any more beta testers requests at the moment, as there are still a few things that need to be added, and a bit much to tackle all issues with more tester for us while fixing the posted ones along with the other things.....
From the questions I got and the times I downloaded DFX4.0 the plugin version did not seem to make a release, just the skins for the standalone exe. So you must have kept them hidden.
not at all, I have tested it, and seeing as the plugin needs internet, internet is assumed. Also only needs to be done once. It's been working fine with all the CFPlugins if have done.
And you never really communicated to be about it or discussed it . . . .
See, and there it is, the F U part, you skinned the Gas which you needed, but you couldn't be arsed to do the petrol one.
I have no need to the gas plugin, but I did it because all you US guys were crying that the Gas Price in RR were broke , and everytime it has broke I have fixed it, despite now the site blocking UK IP addresses.
Why did I do it, because I had done the UK one and could easily use that experience to do the US one. And now I have done France and Germany, did I need to do them, will I ever use them? No? (Oh and for Aussies reading, you might be in luck, if I can be bothered to continue developing for RR)
It would have been nice for you to have reciprocated
Slow down guys...
there are 4837 posts in this thread till now, and lots of then dedicated to help users with problems that John, Blue even you Enforcer and other advanced guys donīt face or already get over...
What I mean is that you are trying your best for support every integration problem, but as usual, as the skin become bigger and bigger, itīs normal that they aim first to they needs...
I am living proof of johns efforts, as I am also from your efforts and maybe a little bit of blue (just a joke )
well, what I want to say is that I love u guys, and letīs try to live like your "softwares":

RR Skin RED 2.0 http://www.mp3car.com/vbulletin/rr-s...red-2-0-a.html
Sheesh. The part that gets me is since day 1 I was aware John intended for this skin to work for HIM. It blew up, became popular and he was gracious enough to share it. After that countless requests have been fulfilled and things added that may benefit others and not John. While agree we should try to share the love for international users as well, I seriously don't recall a lot of people asking for UK support in the skin. I understand both points of view but I really fail to see "F U Part" as valid. Neglected maybe, but an intended slap or denial I highly doubt it. Seems like a case of "out of context" or misinterpretation".Reading comments are far different from hearing them. Difference between a text message and a phone call. If I could even begin to code like you two I would be happy to help in any way, but I can't. You guys have a gift as far as I am concerned so I once again extend my thanks for all the time and efforts into the plugins and skins.
