No bug tracker updates in July? Did you guys just give up on it?
we thought we give john & Blue a chance to catch up lol....
Seeing as you have setup a fallback option for you day/night function.
eg....GPS ==> ini file ==> default
Why not make sure that the INI file is always up to date incase the GPS doesn't work.
Have the GPS update it's poistion to the INI files on a regular basis. That way even if you travel through time zones it will always be correct.
Of course it would also be a good idea to make sure GPS fix has been established before updating the INI file.
:nw:Unless you've already set it up this way.
When the "Auto Mode" is selected, it will update from the GPS frequently so that the sunrise and sunset times are updated as you drive. So if you were to drive cross country, it would always, no matter where you are, dim the screen at the correct time at night.
In fact, while on that screen and driving, you can see the sunrise and set times fluctuate a minute or two here and there as it updates.
Ok, I have had this weighing on my mind for quite some time now.... and thought I would toss it out to the masses.
MP3Car has contacted me and asked if I would release my skin in the new Mobile App Mart. I can put it in there, and make it freely available for download.
On the other hand.... They have a shopping cart set up, and I can charge a very small fee, and get something back for the literally COUNTLESS hours of work on this skin over the past 3 years now.
I do NOT want to come across as greedy, or anything like that, but at the same time, it would be nice to be compensated in a small way for the work and time that has went into this skin. It has went from a hobby, into enough hours spent on it during the week, that it is equal to a full time job! I was thinking something like $4.99 would be a totally fair, and low amount to ask for....
I know times are tough, they are here as well, trust me!! I also know there are people out there that do not have credit cards or PayPal accounts, and I do NOT want to leave anyone out that wants to use the skin!!!! So if there is just no way for someone to pay the $4.99 for it, then I would make some other way to get people the skin for free. Maybe by just dropping me an email or something privately, and letting me know you have no way to pay for it, and I could give out a link to somewhere to download it for free.
If I do this, some of the cost will go to BlueZX3 as well, as he has been so much help, and also put tons of time and effort into this skin as well.
Before I make any decisions, I want to get some feedback on what people think of this. So post your ideas, and let me know if this seems fair or not.
5 dollars is just right for such a great skin. Plus, you guys will have another motivation to provide support, improve things etc...
I think $5 is a fair price.
Sounds good John, You guys do put in a lot of hours. Keep up the great work fellas
