i dont think the skin really cares what music player is used, if it is capable in RR.

Doesn't DFX pass control codes direct to Winamp in the music player, or is it all to RR?

hmm. just installed itunes on my carpc, then switched RR config to itunes instead of winamp. restarted RR w/DFX4 and tried to play music. it would play, but no sound. went straight itunes, and it would play music internally direct. not sure what's wrong.

What is the reason to want to use iTunes instead of Winamp? iTunes takes quite a bit of time to load, and takes up around 80 megs of memory.... It also starts about 3-4 services that are always running on the PC its installed on.

You would also lose, as mentioned the playlist sorting, as well as visualizations.

Ok on a TOTALLY off topic matter hahah... Please do not reply in this thread pertaining to this message, I am just putting it here, as there are a lot of eyes on this thread, and maybe someone can help.

Does anyone here know anyone that works at any of the major news networks like CNN, MSNBC, ABC, CBS, NBC, Fox, Night Line, 20/20 ect ect?

If so please drop me a PM, as I have something I would like to ask you.

Please, again, do not post about this in the thread, it has NOTHING to do with the skin or RR in any way. It pertains to http://www.tylerstoy.com Thanks!

    And now back to topic

All good info. You sold me on sticking with winamp. I wanted it for access to music purchases while traveling out of town, but I can just run in seperately as needed.

    Thumbs up Just an update....

Ok, looks like the beta testing phase is just about over. I PM'd a couple of people to see if they are interested in testing the RC1 version of the skin.

No, sorry, no one else is needed right now

The bug tracker will be cleared, and will start over with any new found issues. Hopefully, just about everything has been found and fixed already.

Now, its just a matter of seeing how the next set of testing goes, and if nothing major is found, just tweak a few things here and there and it will be ready for download.

Hi John, Looking at your post 4326 where you list the voice commands, I dont see any for navigation. Specifically for Inav. I started playing with my own commands yesterday, as you have quite a bit of RR integration for iGuidance, as you have the shortcuts popup screen etc. I can say home and set iGuidance for taking me home.

I was wondering if you are implementing any voice control commands for your iGuidance screens?
