    You have 2 "background" entries:
    background=Z:\RideRunner\Backgrounds\Gray_Texture_ Dark.jpg
    background=C:\Program Files\Road Runner\Backgrounds\Gray_texture.jpg

    *EDIT* so do I!, so that's not the problem......
    Something in her exectbl.ini, maybe?

    Thanks for the welcome, and thanks for the information. I will definitely take a look at that over the coming days.

    A couple things I noticed today:

    1. The song information doesn't always show at the top of the screen. If I go to the browser, choose a song, and play it, the information doesn't show. If I go back to the browser, chose another song and add it to the playlist, the information shows up for the song that's playing and the other song in the playlist when it's played. How do I make it show up when there's only one song in the playlist?

    2. The icons in the top bar aren't displayed when they're inactive. In the first few posts of this thread where John put up some screenshots, only the active icons are visible, but in this post, you can see how the icons are just faded out, but still visible, regardless of whether the function they represent is active or not. Any way I can get these icons to show up, too?

    3. This is more WinAmp related, I think, but hopefully you guys will know the answer. This may also become completely irrelevant when I actually get a touchscreen to use. Right now I'm just testing on a laptop with a mouse. I have a large collection of music, but rather than using playlists, I prefer to just pick whatever artist I feel like hearing and play whatever song of theirs I want to hear. Thus, the browser is the easiest way for me to quickly sift through all the artists and songs. If I pick Windows Media Player as the player in RRConfig, I can just double click on the song from the browser list and it will play. When using WinAmp, I have to add it to the playlist first, go to the playlist, and then play the song. Is WinAmp not capable of playing a song when it's double clicked?

    I really have never used WinAmp before. I would just use WMP, but with WMP, the song doesn't resume when RR is closed and reopened. With WinAmp, that feature works flawlessly. Like I said, this may be irrelevant when using a touchscreen. I'm not sure if a touchscreen can register double clicks or not. Maybe I just have to get used to adding the song to the playlist.

    Forgive me in advance for so many questions, and believe me, I'll probably have a lot over the next few weeks. I'm new to this, but I'm not new to forums, and I know how frustrating a noob can be sometimes.

    This should work out of the box. It has always worked for me. I don't think it makes a difference for this issue, but are you using browser in standard or database mode?

    The screenshot John posted is from the still unreleased version 5.0. In version 4.0 the unused icons do not show.

    Open rrconfig. Go to Page 1 of the music section. Check "Play on list Click." See if that solves the problem.

    Even better: Use the DFX button editor to create a button called "Randomize". Assign the following command to that button:

    "ACTIVATE;Playlist Editor||SENDKEY;^+r||RELOADLIST","Randomize",

    Clicking this button will then sort the currently loaded playlist into random order. The advantages of this over shuffle are:

    1. If you do not have shuffle turned on you can play your playlist in random order, but still see what songs are coming up.

    2. You do not run into the repeated songs problem previously mentioned.

    Even better: John could add a randomize button to the stock button list so that those of us who think this is the best thing since sliced bread don't need to customize it.

    I actually made the Left / Center / Right justify for the buttons into DFX Justify. If you change your mind later, with one edit to DFXJustify.txt you can move the button titles around.

    (/DEFINE DFXJUSTIFY "CENTER")

    Actually, I posted that in the forum on the spur of the moment and then realized it would be helpful to also mention it in the tracker.

    My suggestion to fully implement it would be to do a DFXJustify Left Buttons and a DFXJustify Right Buttons. This way you could choose exactly how each side of buttons are placed.

    After I posted I realized what Treetop777 was really trying to do was to have the left buttons left justified and the right buttons right justified.

    Here is a proof of concept with actually 3 different text justifications from my custom menu 3 skin:
