I just had an "O" moment with the screen shot above!
Laptop users:
I've been using a LT since day 1, DFX 2.0 and love it. I don't have the power module (autostart with car) but did wire a power push button from the LT power to the front of the car using a headphone jack for easy break off. It works great.
LT Pros: Small, light weight, works well in HOT Humid weather. Stand-by last about 3 days untouched USB Devices work well. Hibernate lasts about two weeks USB devices take about 5min to start working. Power inverter (Not sure the brand, will supply if needed) stops once car turns off. Can RDP to LT without the car being on (on LT battery). Or, open the LT and easy access to KB & mouse.
LT Cons: Doesn't work well in Cold 20 or below degree weather! After car is off, inverter must be unpluged/re-pluged. No battery meter in DFX. Take about 1 min to start RR/DFX3.0 once power button is pushed.
Over all its not that bad. But then again I haven't used a desktop
am having alittle problem here i cant get the gaspricefinder df3 to work any1 havin that problem
This currently will only work with iGuidance. If you are using iGuidance, Make sure you download the iG patch the DFX website. It has been altered to allow navigating by coordinates.

How do i get that VIZ to come on? Anytime i try viz it goes full screen and everything hides.
Also I changed a button to INTERNET RADIO and none of the defaults work...do i need to make my own?
And how can i add something to show the memory usage like the CPU usage label
10 acura TL tech

1. read john's manual on how to properly embed the vis, or search RR's threads
John's manual is located in the dfx3 folder/helper files/DigitalFX Help.chm
2. mine work fine as is.
3. there is already cpu usage labels throughout DFX3 on different screens including menu/menu2....the label code is "cpu" for cpu usage, and "mem" for free memory.
Edit# misread #3...the easiest way, is to use skin editor for this, maybe install dfx3 to a temp directory and open that skin (to get the feel of the ED., and so no mistakes are made to your "good" skin. open up task_man.skin within the editor for an example of the free mem label. then just create a new label and put it were you want it using "mem" as the code....just takes some time getting used to the editor....or you can tell me were you want it and I can do it..but it's not to hard
and if you do try the skin editor....make sure to zoom out to 75%...this makes it easier to work with.

John,
Been playing around with a fresh install of DFX3, RR Config and RR Installer.
Something fishy with the Browser skin? Buttons show up white letters on a black background, and the menu button is a double image? Browser (IE7) isn't really embeded, itsn't really in its own window. Kind of a mix of both. Something I did?
Oh, what the hell is NetCheck for again? It is bogging down my system, is it necessary, or part of the skin or RR? I thought it was part of the updater, but I unchecked the "Check for updates box" and it still opens with RR.
If any of this was covered before and I missed it, 1000 apologies.
Thanks!

No at inverters need to be unplugged/re-plugged. Not sure why that would need to happen unless the inverter has a physical contact switch to turn it on when inserted (minds out of the gutter)
For the battery meter - grab the powermon plug in. In the menu skin add
X,Powermon
Powermon will give you 4 labels to work with, one of which is battery percentage. Put that on your menu skin somewhere and now you have a battery meter (in numeric format, not a bar chart). I just replaced the outside temperature label John has on the menu skin.
