A recent update that AVG installs, will false trigger on many AutoIt scripts. This will delete the files or quarantine them. This will prevent quite a few things from working in the skin. Movie Times, the album art viewer, Theme changer are just a few. I just un-installed AVG, installed Avast Anti Virus (also free) and scanned the skin folder, after restoring the scripts. Nothing was found as being a virus. If this has happened to you, you will have to reinstall the skin again to get all of the scripts back.

Ok, a few pages back I mentioned a problem with hibernation based on elapsed time on laptop battery.

I have narrowed it down. There is a variable autoupdateinterval (I believe that's it off the top of my head) that is used by at least weather and zip code locator. I set that to 0 which I believe disables it. Hibernation resumed working.

It's not the USB GPS as RR is still accessing the coordinates.

I really don't believe it is weather as I don't use that since I don't have internet in the truck.

So my question for John or anyone else real familiar with DFX "under the covers" - do you use that variable for anything else? If no, then it doesn't appear that the problem is DFX directly and I'll move the discussion to a thread on the zip plugin. If you do use it for something else - if you tell me what else I will systematically eliminate each one.

Anyone know how I can change the logo in the notepad file? I can't open RR without it using all my resouces so I can't do anything.

Maybe one should disable all anti virus/anti spam programs. My McAfee also caused problems with 2 different files...forget which ones...in this thread here somewhere.

symantec 11 (SymantecEndpointProtection) hasnt complianed (yet) about anything on the digitalFX installation.
This is on my daily use laptop, I dont run antivirus on the carPC.

Norton anti-virus 2007 and Norton internet security said nothing wile i installed DFX3.NAV if friendly with RR and its skins.. lol

I posted a few pages back about using T-Mobile in my truck for internet connection and how the weather and CNN are not updating. I did some more reading and searching but still no luck with this. I think I read somewhere that the weather info is coming from www.weather.com but I was wondering if anyone could explain how the skin is getting the info. I can use IE or Firefox to browser to the site and get locale weather but from inside the skin it just sits there trying to load. This also freezes RR for a little bit.

If this doesn't seem like a skin problem sorry for posted here. Just let me know and I will try posting somewhere else for help on this.
