i figured this out 2 min after making that post. felt dumb!, it says it right in the ini file i was trying to fix!

got my listen button working. i have something screwy though, because the volume still stays at zero after listening. not sure what the problem is, because it mutes itself fine.

    Splash Screen Removal Not Downloading

John, I paid the $9.95 for the splace screen removal but when I try and download it from the appstore I just says file not found.

    What should I do?

One other question, after starting pandora I cant get it to shut off and switch to regular music, what am I doing wrong?

    Thanks,
    Steve

...... And a menu button that would enable one to "show the desktop" when needed which would minimize RR without having to exit the program. Just some ideas I wanted to throw out there(would be very handy when interacting with the carpc)
    Obviously not.

I am using the 7 inch touch screen and my computer is running at 800x600 and the icons on top dont fit correctly. Almost half of the icons are overlapping the grey bar on top. Same happens when you are in radio. The single bars overlap the gray bar aswell. Great skin. RRvoice works great.
    Thanks
    John

This has carried over to DF5 also, but haven't played with it much.

Anyone else notice slowdowns with the new RR releases?
Yes. Actually RR did this starting like last August. Ever since then my load time went from less than ten seconds to now, with DFX5, over two minutes. It totally drives me crazy. I know it's not a DFX thing, because other skins load slow too. I have no idea what the culprit is or how to fix it, but if someone does I would love to hear it. As a side not, I did have an older version of RR (over a year old) and it loaded really quick, but I seem to have lost the old rr installer. So...

Not to you that is smartypants. Some things need to be done outside of the program cause there are no menu option for them(can you say defragment, system restore....etc)

I'm not having load time issues with my 2.4 gig Pentium 4. RR with DFX loads in about fifteen seconds. There were problems with the August RR release, so make sure you're using the September release or later. You will lose a lot of functionality if you use RR from over a year ago.

Which is why a minimize button has been located in the skin since the beginning and the section "How Do I Minimize the Skin" is included in the help file. It's a little frustrating to see people post questions that are clearly addressed in the help file.

The help file is named DFX5 Help.chm and is located in the Helper Files folder in the DigitalFX skin folder. It is very informative.

Edit: John, I went back and looked at the early posts of this thread and didn't see a reference to the help file. New DFX users may not know there is a help file or where to find it. It might be a good idea to mention it at the beginning of the thread.
