Ah, that was probably the problem. I had iG in my start up folder, but didn't put skin bedder in there. So when I would go to GPS in the LS skin, it'd see it already open, but maybe it didn't try opening skin bedder. I'll try putting iG and skinbedder in there and see if it works again.

you only need to put one in your startup, which would be skinbedder. Skinbedder automaticly launches and embeds IG

I'm having a problem with IG and skinbedder when I have the firefox browser loaded.

When the buttons are pressed in the GPS skin (i.e, IGMENU, ADDRESS, etc) the firefox browser displays on the map screen. The map loads on top, but the bottom row of buttons (menu, cancel route, poi, etc) are hidden. At this point non of the buttons seem to function. No problems if the browser is never loaded. Any suggestions? thanks

have no idea what thats about. Is this happening in your car with firefox embeded in RR or on your desktop using firefox standalone.

just tested this out, there seems to be some weirdness. I couldnt get it to the extent of what you said, but there does seem to be a conflict of interest when both the web browser and gps are loaded at the same time.
I assume it has something to do with the get focus command that is needed to send keystrokes to IG.
I would suggest closeing the web browser when you go to GPS.

I could not find the skinned button to close down the imbedded internet browser. I can only return to the menu. What icon/button is supposed to close the browser?

liquid_smoke, i know this is kind of off topic, but you been a great help. When I have RR running, my laptop doesn't go into stand by. I noticed when I exit RR it goes into stand by within the mintue that i have set. Do you know what this could be?

my bad, there really isnt one. I'll make one for the upcoming update.
But in the mean time, you can change the code for the button like this.
Dont know if you know how to do it or not , so ill do a step by step.

Open RRSkineditor.exe
open my skin
file menu>Screens>wbrowser.skin
double click the white arrow
paste the text below (including the quotes) into the Command section
"RUN;C:\playfile.exe|C:\Music.wav||MAINLS||CLOSE"

this should fix your problems by closeing the browser each time you leave the screen. If you are using firefox, there is an extension (session saver) that will save the tabs you have open, so when you restart firefox you can pick up where you left off each time ala Opera.


note: the code above has a space in the word CLOSE, this should not be there and is some kind of bug with this site, so make sure you dont have it when you save the skin.
