Hi, first of all thanks for your skin, itīs very nice. Iīm having problems with your setting program: I registered the .ocx and ran the program to configure the skin to MM, if I exit from RR itīs still running on desktop; everytime I open it begings showing "freedrive" (checkboxes are ok), and when go into navigation all buttons from left are no running. Any idea? Thanks in advance.

make sure closeapps=true is set in rr.ini, although that doesn't always close it either, I am looking into this.

For MapMonkey buttons, read the posts on previous page stepir had the same issue.

Yes I think I need to change the default setting for the drop down menu to reflect the last GPS chosen. This will done in the next version. Thanks for observation.

    Enforcer,

How about adding some Valentine One functionality for those of us with stealth V1 installs? Specifically this:

The software can be downloaded from here.

You don't need a V1 to run the software. I played around with it a bit and added it to the applications menu (where notepad, calculator, etc are located). But I think it would look better if it had it's own embedded screen (like navigation does), especially since the software window can be easily resized. Of course you can make use of your configurator program to turn this funcionality on/off as you have done with other features of the skin.

For me, this would be one of my primary screens (i.e. on while driving) right after navigation. And for an added touch, you could make a split screen format for those who want both the V1 and some other screen running at the same time. For me personnally, if you could do the split creen format, I think it would be best for the Navigation screen and the V1 since those would most likely be the two screens that would be up while driving most of the time. What do you think?

Keep up the good work and I look forward to the next release.

Just had a quick play. I think you may want to play with skinbedder to see if you can get rid of the title bar (I know it has a seeting in the options to remove that, but then the buttons in the skin won't control it. I may need to play more on that)

Split screen as standrad can't be done in RR, but as Guino has said in other threads, you might be able to use skinbedder to combine two apps in one screen and then we can look at doing a screen for that.

Personally I would think it better if you can cantact the author and see if you can get him to make it skinnable as he has suggested in his readme, or get him to come over here and maybe we can help him develop it further.

Also I think it would be better if we can get some SDK functionality like freedrive and mapmonkey so that we can receive the alerts and then maybe have the information appear as indicators on all screens.

Well, I am still a bit of a noob with the skinning so I don't know all of the skin lingo yet (SDK? - not sure what that means ). I have not tried playing with the skin embedder program, but my skills are so far behind yours that by the time I figured it out, you probably could have finished integrating this software . I will drop a line to the author on the Software One website and see if I can get him to come over here to interface with you for further software support/development.

As far as removing the tool bar, I would think that once you create the window size for the display without the tool bar, you can go inside the options to get rid of it when it turns on. I don't know, I am far from a programmer so I am just throwing ideas out.

When you say having the alert info available on all screens, do you mean having the data (arrows, bogie count, bands, etc) show up in the upper or lower margin areas on the screen, like the MP3 play/stop/ff/rew buttons? After thinking about it, that probably would be a better alternative than using the split screen format.

Also, I think the display would look better if you keep the original aspect ratio
I did a couple of simple screenshots below. One is without the mute button, only because he said it was not functional in his readme file, but if we can get him to help you with the integration, hopefully we can use the mute button as well (saves me, and others, from having to install a mute button someplace else on the dash). Now the trick is to figure out what to do with the un-used realestate under the V1 display.

removing the toolbar is easy, as I said i my previous post, but you loose the facility to access those menus. There might be another way but I would need to spend time laying with it.

yes that would be the idea. Or maybe have it so that the alerts could be overlayed on whatever screen is on. (this would need interaction with the author)

yeah I first tried it with the original AR but also had the same question, what to do with the rest of the screen. Besides on a 7" screen I think the size of image I put up would be a lot more readable.

Again if we can get the author to add skinning to the app then we can customise it to fit

I think it's more of a RoadRunner / front End integration rather than just an iDrive skin implimentation.

But yes it would be nice to have the author on the site and involved.
