Don't the milkdrop visuals take more CPU than the AVS...or is it the same?
I just went into the AVS properties and cut the frame rate by half...it isn't smooth...but it uses much less processor also (M10000 here...)
Did something change in the setup...I just did a complete clean install of RR and this skin...
The visuals used to drop into a small area on some screens...now it always fills the screen (minus the buttons at the top and bottom)...did I miss the addition of a feature?
milkdrop uses more cpu from my experience, pixel doubleing in avs will cut the cpu in half also, so you can gain back a little frame rate.

this will be a single click option in the next update so you dont have to copy the file by hand.
Thanks LS. I'm gonna go and try that out right now. Can't wait to see what happens. If it's still slow, I'll just kill the visuals..no big deal but visuals are cool...I would like to get MilkDrop to work. I have it on my XBOX and it's dangerous...I sometimes catch myself starring at it for hours...and that's sober..:tard:
LS, what ever happened with the new thread? :p
or are you waiting until your done with the day version? ;)
the only reason I ask it cause the only post in this thread I read are made by you. I disgread other posts, so I just get the info from you. :D
Thanks LS, The gas worked perfect. I would love to get mobile emu working in your skin. One more question...when i click fullscreen on picviewer, it shows my desktop and roadrunner hangs. Anyone experiencing this problem?
P.S. do you have a donation link? I would like to make a contribution for your efforts.;) :tune:
Edit: Silly me, I've found it! lol 20 bucks for ya hard work man...(I'm feeling generous today, wheres Guino...)
I don't know if you're still taking suggestions/requests. I just downloaded i-tunes 7 and they have this browse by album art that is pretty nice. It looks as if it's some sort of flash file. It's set up like an electronic cd case holder. you grab the slider and slide the cd cases (the album art) until you find the one you want...very smooth. you can also click on the cd case one by one to flip through them. Just a thought. I don't know if you use i-tunes or not, but it's definitely worth a look for BBAA. Could also be used for movies too.
You can find a quicktime demo here...
i prob wont be able to answer post for a while, a storm came through last night and tore up a lot of **** in my neighborhood. The big tree in my back yard is now in front of my garage, blocking me from even pulling my car out.
A bunch of other trees were yanked out of the ground by the roots.
No power since yesterday and no estimate on its return.
Lot of houses with trees either ontop of them or in them. Looks like a war hit my block.
Sucks pretty bad, but lucky no one was hurt.
Thats pretty much the plan, im about 75% done with the day version.

I doubt flash would be a good way to do that anyway, it could be done but im sure it would be really slow in flash.
Maybe post about in the open forum and see if anyone bites, i would love to see this in RR or as a standalone app i could embed that sent commands to RR.
oh the picviewer fullscreen thing,
yeah i got that too on the latest official release. Try and grab one of the betas. I think there maybe a bug comeing and going with the picviewer. Every other beta release seems to break it, i do believe guino is aware of it though, we've talked about it a few times.
I think it is fixed in the latest beta version of RR.
I feel your pain. I've been through 4 hurricanes (living in hurricane alley and all). I've been pretty lucky though...no scratches yet.
Hope everything is ok there.
Trip Meter Milage Plugin
I've tried to get this working in Void since 1.6patch1 was released and I'm outta ideas.
RR Beta 09/12/06
Full XP install
-gps on com4
-xport splitting to 5 and 6
-RR uses 6, and speedo and heading work in void
-IG uses 5 works perfect (using ig native, awsome work, you guys amaze me)
-Everything except the tripmeter plugin works
-heading, altitude, and whatever else in on the bottom row works, so its reading from the GPS.
-current speed - DOES NOT show
-no reaction to any buttons except gas which brings up the calc
-calc has no reaction to any input except when i hit enter and the calc display shows 'c/'
I did regsvr32 the milage.dll, rebooted, reinstalled 1.6 and the patch. I'm stuck, any ideas?
I've done a search on this and read post after post. I have IG3 and don't need the extra set of menu buttons (the big arrow on the left with menu options). I have read that i set ignative=true in rr.ini but that didn't help.
I also have a problem where part of the screen on the left is cut off so where it supposed to read ETA..I only see half of the T and the A. Please help and I did do a search so but it seems like I can't find a straigh answer on how to disable that extra menu, igcontrol? Thanks.
