Yeah I seen the voice recognition in Vista and it was pretty impressive. Let me see if I can find the video

i had vista installed in my pc for a few weeks but ive gone back to xp

vista was nicer to use. it was alot more user friendly than xp.

but i found a few of my drivers didnt work with it.

and i could not find a working vritual cd app!!

but the main reason i got rid of it was it was making certain apps i use crash ever 10 seconds
i use a lot of memory hungry 3d design apps.. and they just didnt wana work with vista

hopefully the retail version is alot less bugy than then eveluation copy

thats a big issue for me also, actually a deal breaker. I cant test if 3d apps work or not inside of the virtual machine but any issues in this area is critical for me also. Vista RC1 was pretty buggy in some areas, the RTM version so far is pretty stable.
I may have to setup a dual boot and do a real install so i can really test out the 3D stuff and see what the verdict is. What apps do you use and were testing before? I use XSI and Max and a few proprietary apps.
For the car though, 3D is a non issue, so everything should be all good in this area.

Im using VMWare for the virtual machine, MS also has the free VirtualPC2007 but the main reason i didnt even want to use it is it doesn't support usb devices, which is a shot in the foot if you ask me.

i was using tge RC1, i havent seen the RTM version

i use solidedge maily and a little unigraphics
any large models i loaded would just crash.

i had all the visuals in vista turned down also.. the only thing i still had was the vista skin.. but al the poinless window animation were all turned off.

yeah usb devices is another one.. even some usb storage stick wouldnt work. it would ask for drivers and wouldnt find a solution..

i used to be a big MAx fan.. but i havent used it in ages.. i would days and days in that app..

lol, i got your money shots right here, lol.

since its so close to the holidays, im gonna try to release it before or on Christmas day. Maybe a quick beta before that.

let me know if you want me to try something out. ill be switching to the new version when it comes out anyhow. lol.. your version going to be optomized for ig3 or ig3.01... lol i still havent patched its downloaded but im waiting to see whats up first. my ig3 works i dont wanna break it quite yet.:P
