this is by design. Those buttons do work though, i just chose to cover them up instead of remove them completely incase anyone wanted to use them.

If you are using igmon (which you should its awesome) then you can install the igmon skin i did (check updates post 2nd or 3rdpost) and you will have access to cancel RT etc. Also, there is the igcontrol script, (red menu button) that has some options in there also.
In the future updates this feature will be more easily accessed, i ran into the same problem a while ago :)

But.... if you still want to just use those buttons on the top and dont mind the map area being smaller you can just resize the area where IG will be embeded. Open External_GPS.skin in either RRSKineditor or notepad.
At the very bottom of the file (2nd to last line) there should be a line that starts with A01
change the line so it looks like this

Thanks for the tips and information.

I set the size of the skin to 800x600 by editing the general.ini and that went very well.

I also checked the ExecTBL.ini file and verified that the lines that pertained to the GPS configuration were pointing to the default install location and I think they looked good.
Since I installed iGuidance in the default location of C:\Program Files\iNav\iGuidance then the startup.exe in the C:\Program Files\Road Runner\LSTOOLS\SB2.9\iGuidance directory should be correctly compiled to point to that location. Just for grins I copied the file that you posted over the one that was already there and tried the launch again. Still no go the "nag" screen still comes up.

After looking at the code of the file it appears that there is just a nowarning added as a switch after the iguidance executable is run.

So I just did this to test and see if that nowarning switch was applicable to the version 2.0 NA as it appears to be with the 2.1 NA version.

I jumped into a command window and navigated to the directory where iGuidance is installed C:\Program Files\iNav\iGuidance
Once there I ran the iguidance.exe file with the nowarning switch after it by typing this iguidance nowarning . Then I pressed enter and you know what. The iGuidance "nag" screen was launched forcing me to click OK before iGuidance would launch.

Does this not appear to imply that the nowarning switch is not applicable to the 2.0 NA version of iGuidance or was this not a fair test of that switch?

Also , yes there is a "clean" no icon version of iGuidance in the LSTools\IG_2.1NA directory. However, since this file is the executable for the 2.1 NA version of iGuidance that has been hacked with ResShacker to remove the Menu , Mute and other items it is not compatable with other versions of iGuidance such as the one I have . Version 2.0 NA
I was wondering if anyone had the hacked version that would work with 2.0 NA?

Any ideas?

I think I have found the reason why I cannot suppress the iGuidance "nag" screen. I did some searching and probing and found out that the no warning flag does not appear to be a supported switch on iGuidance version 2.0 NA.

As stated in this thread as the very last post by tj!2k4 http://www.mp3car.com/vbulletin/show...t=75006&page=2

Perhaps an addition to the FAQ or the install instructions which state that LSX Void will not suppress the iGuidance ver 2.0 NA or earlier "nag" screen? I guess I am forced to upgrade...

What do you think about this:

I always hate the way full screen vis works.
You have to click twice before it goes back. You can't control audio.

Is it an idea to not use the winamp full screen option. But instead only put the control bar (next play prev vol+ vol - en back) on the bottom.
And make the rest of the screen the vis-box of winamp so it will be "full screen" and you can control the audio.
I also noticed that the full screen switch sometimes corrupts the rr skin when it comes back (white bars that will go away if you click a button). I never saw this with a boxed vis.

unfortunately NO. it dosent fit my personal requirements for an image viewer, to be honest im not happy with ANY of the current solutions for viewing images inside the car. I think everything so far is going in the wrong direction and not thinking outside the box, we need to think inside the car so to speak. Ive been meaning to make a mock UI and feature list for an image viewer with the hopes that some programer would take me up on my ideas. So far everything ive seen is pretty much half *** and not worth the time to skin.
Please no one whos coded an image viewer get offended or ****ed off.

as far as .net goes, im not a big fan of it either and the only reason i think people use it is because its "easier" than say some other language, but with that comes the overhead for this ease. Currently the only pic viewer supported is PicViewer.net and it too has the same problems as other image viewers but its currently the only one that will give me a clean interface and not all this extra crap thats really not needed (other than being .net). Im constantly looking for a replacement, hince the reason its still there.

ah, ok well i can post some different files that will work for your version of IG that will kill the nag screen when it pops up. Ill try to post them up this weekend.

basicly thats the way fullscreen anything works, when its fullscreen you will loose the option to use other aspects of the computer or other apps. I cant change the number of clicks to exit fullscreen vis. With that said, there are some options to do what you want.
I never use fullscreen vis in the car myself, i think its too distracting and mostly is just something you show to someone else "hey check this out, its soo cool, lol" you'd be suprised how many average computer users never seen a vis.
anyway, if you take a look at how the vis works in my previous skin (LSX--not void) where the vis is big enough to almost be fullscreen but still you can control the play buttons etc. There will be something similar to this in the still yet to be posted update.
Also some other things you can do, there is a "screensaver" feature in RR that will make the vis window transparent and also enable you to click through the vis window to RR bellow. So that way you can set the vis to cover the whole window and still control RR, the only setback being the vis is allways big.

Post the files if you like, but this issue has really given me some incentive to get with the program and update to at least version 2.13 NA.

Once I get a copy of the new iGuidance 2.13 NA then I should be in better shape. I am also planning on implementing iGmod as well at that time as I have heard some rave reviews.

Q: - iGmod - Is there a specific write up that one should use to implement iGmod well with LSX Void? I read darn near the entire iGMod thread and there are references on page 8 and then some on page 10 and then some more on page 14, and on and on. There is no one suggested method that is in one place. That makes it tough to make sure that one sets it up correctly.
