What I was going to ask about. Is I want to make an LSX_Void Day skin. The black of the smoke doesnt do any justice in the daylight. What I was thinking of doing was, just taking the skin into PS, and iverting, so black would be white, white would be black. then id have to edit the skin to change the font colors from whit to black etc. I love the skin, but the darkness in the day loses the beauty of it. You feel like making up a day skin real quick like that, or any way I could get the PS files. would be much easer to invert the colors by layer. oh well. thanks much.
i plan on a day version, and some other stuff. Inverting the colors dosent look good though, but its in the works.

this is part of the igmon support. You shouldnt ever see this except for maybe a brief moment when RR starts up. What its supposed to do is display the next street you are supposed to turn on when being routed. This feature in igmon is still a little beta, but i left it there cuz it didnt seem to be hurting anything (u shouldnt see it) and when the feature is working better it will be a nice addition.

unfortunately there is no VS that can have transparent borders or perpixel shadeing, ive searched and nothing outthere comes close to the look and feel, just a bunch of knockoffs. The vista themes for WB arent all the way they should be either, i had to edit the one im using heavily and im still not really done tweeking it. I have vista beta2 also but still on the fence if i should install it because of how much memory it uses. I have 2GB of ram but i do 3D for a living so i easily max out the 2GB of ram everyday and i dont really need an OS thats gonna suck up 700mb of ram but i do want to upgrade my mce2005. Other than the pretty ui im still wondering what the hell the real new features are.

but back on topic, wb is cool, it dosnt suck up the system resources and is pretty solid, i have the same theme running in my car pc too. I may break down and do a wb theme from scratch as it seems thats the only way im gonna get the UI i really want.
the closest thing ive seen thats almost like vista is the vista transformation pack 4 (have to search for a link to tired to look now) but this is not perfect and if you dont like your system files modified then its not for you, but its fairly safe.

too many to list really. I Installed vista on one of my home pc's because it was being redone. I left it on for a week, played with it, then took it off and put xp back on it. Its a pretty sweet operating system. I had some issues with driver support on a few items, but being that it was a beginning beta copy, I wasnt at all suprised. Besides the nice new UI, theres alot of little enhancements that just kinda pop up at you. lol .. i was playing with things and I was like damn thats pretty cool. Also behind the sceens the file structures are handled alot better, allowing your pc to access and search better.

As for the day skin, Ill just wait till you release it. lol. I can wait a few. Thanks.

    you went back for that?
its a pretty easy fix if you dont want to see it ever and you dont use igmon.
just open menu.skin in notepad and delete this line below

    L,6,116,790,26,225,225,128,16,"Tahoma:B","=$NEXTTU RN$","LEFT"

are you using the latest version of RR? Thats the only reason why i can think its allways showing up for you. No one else has said anything about it, so im assumeing its only you that sees it all the time. At most you should only see it for a split second (if at all) when RR first starts up.

    hey smoke.

Found a few things I thought Id mention. Not sure if you have an fm radio like an HQCT. but i noticed a couple things on the radio screen that are broken or not correct.

    1. if your scanning or tuning. it doesnt show anywhere what your tuner is at.
    2. it always says 103.5 FM.
    3. Above that it shows what preset your on and then the words radio name. shouldnt the radio name change to the description you modify on your preset?

The next chicago meet is the 23rd. :P maybe well see ya there.

I started to tweek the skn file for the radio. not sure if ive fixed anything yet or not until i leave the office. removed the = in radio name. and where it said 103.5 i used a frequency command. we shall see.

edit: ok i jyust got home. with tweaking that little bit. everythings working how it should. not sure if it needs a fix for all radios or just for the HQCT.
