all of those things are features

on the main screen clicking the time will minimize the app, on any other screen it will bring up the quick menu where you can navigate to (almost) any other screen without having to go back to the menu first.

EXT is exit, nothing deeper in the meaning/spelling other than when i first created the button i wasnt sure if i wanted it to be an exit button so i purposely named it different so it would remind me to think if i wanted it to indeed be an exit button. If you click and hold it, it will restart RR instead of just exit.

BTW...this is a great skin!

the visuals use the ONSKINSTART command to auto load when RR runs.

To stop it from loading do this.

Load ExecTBL.ini (found inside the skin folder)
scroll to bottom of file and edit the "ONSKINSTART" command

This command does 2 things when RR starts, it starts the visu and also displays the welcome message.

If you want to stop the visuals from autostarting use this line.

Code:

"ONSKINSTART","RUN;LSTOOLS\welcomeMSG\welcome.exe"

If you want the visuals to start but NOT the welcome message

Code:

"ONSKINSTART","VISU"

If you dont want either to autostart simply put a forward slash at the begin of line.

Code:

/"ONSKINSTART","VISU||RUN;LSTOOLS\welcomeMSG\welcome.exe"

to change the location of the visuals you have to edit the .skin files and change the location of the A line.
Open the skin in RRSKineditor.exe
look at screenshot for example
be carefull not to move any other elements, there is no undo.

"Skinbedder v2.99999" seems to open when RR runs and stays open even after closing RR.

I downloaded the rainlender program, 800x600 skin, dumped in c:/pro~/rain~/skin, changed Rainlender to use LSX skin. When I click the Calendar button, it opens Upcoming , Task list and the actual calendar. How can I only make thse items open when selected?

Photo doesnt seem to do anything once clicked

Im having some issues with the cd rip function. I followed all of the stuff in the FAQ, but when I click on the Rip CD button I just get a red screen that says LSX on it. However, if I run the CDRip.exe from the folder, it brings up what I think should be the cdrip skin for the LSX skin. I try to run it like that, but nothing happens, and I cant get out of it without CTRL-ALT-DEL and roadrunner has dissapeared, but will still be playing music. Also, how do I get a cd to play in the skin to begin with? If I double click on the cd drive in my computer it will play in RR, but i cant figure it out within RR. damn, im confused.

1. About the visulation running on start... For some reason, mine is not working automatically, nor is the welcome message displaying. Any ideas?
I can start the vis by pressing the button in the upper right, but it will not start on it's own.

2. Any speedfan update?

try updateing your ExecTBL.ini file to the one in the first post, then let me know if you still have that problem.

check your path in ExecTBL.ini (the one in the root of RR install, not the one in skin folder) for cdrip. Also check the file name for cdrip, i think by default the path and name of exe are wrong in a standard RR install.
