small progress pic
the top bar is getting a facelift, the phoco signal and battery will nolonger be present if you dont use phoco. Newer ish online indicator, still may change that.
still trying to avoid redoing the volume/track slider from scratch, so i recolored the trackslider from green to red, havnt touched the other one yet.
I'm having some trouble with the GPS. I can get iGuidance to detect my gps adapter, but when I go into RR iGuidance doesn't load the GPS adapter.
Looking great LS!! I love the day version and the updates to the top bar and sliders. I was wondering on the main screen how come ou have 2 sliders and 2 tracktimes? Bogs down my via bad..

If you have RR set to read your gps port (in RRConfig.exe) then you will need a port splitter to so that RR and IG can read your gps device. Likely RR is grabing the only free port you have thus not making it free for IG to use.
Do a search for XPORT on this site.
it is a tad redundant but (they both were added way after the fact) one is astetics and the other is more functional.

If its bogging down your system (are you sure its those items?) you can just remove them.
The track time that is in the middle is a label
edit the above line so its just like this below to remove the tracktime
the slider in the middle is
delete this whole line above.
i may take a look at these items as a whole, and may make changes to the default. Maybe not, depends.
What i would do is probably get rid of the volume slider on the bottom left, i find it easier to just use the two buttons, but the vollume buttons arent on every screen while the sliders are. I do think it would look cool if it were just one track slider across the whole bottom. But its likely i wont be able to do that because of that.
I can prob take the track time on the bottom right and put it in the middle are next to the bitrate and remove it from the tagtitle. That way it'll be easier to see too.
I dont know, i'll play with it and see what i come up with. No promises though.
Yeah I guess I should've mentioned that I've tried both ways. With and without Xport... I just need to set in the port in iGuidance outside of RR and it should remember the setting?

On my setup i have RR set to use com port 5 and IG com port 3
I love this skin btw, keep up the good work. Theres a few more features that I would like to incorporate into it though.
Minimize - it used to have this option (although I can't find the code that told it to do it). But its really worthwhile for me to be able to minimize RR to get to some things on the desktop.
Blank Screen - this is something I really want, a button which when pressed will simply turn off the monitor, or display some kind of blank screen. Reasons for using it are when I'm parking my car in city centre, I don't want to pull up with light blasting out from my dash (subtlety is the key)
I tried messing with the code in ExecTBL.ini but I couldn't figure out how to write in external commands. There is the FREE35-40 buttons which I would make use of, but I have no idea how. I tried this...
"FREE35", "RUN;C:\Documents and Settings\Benjamin\My Documents\Mini.scf"
But it doesn't do anything, I tried paths to different applications, but still no joy. Any chance you could point me in the right direction for me to add these features myself.
the features you speak of are allready in the skin.
Im not sure right now if i noted it in the read me, but i think i did.
Minimize was moved from the top left button (TIME) to click and hold on any of the BIG arrows on the main screen.
There is a blank screen that is all black for those times when you need turn everything off. Its not currently enabled, it used to be, some how i think i turned it off for some reason or another. But. i it will be re-enabled by default on the next release.
Adding commands to the customize buttons is a little complicated and you really have to know how all the other buttons were layed out before you can start to add stuff. Its not the typical setup. Even when you think you know how it works, theres still a few gotchas in there because of the numbering. You want to keep everything in sequential order and also know the number of the last button used.
I cant go deep into how to add your own commands to the customize list right now, there are a number of steps you need to do, and not just in the ExecTBL.ini files. So even if you get the ExecTBL.ini setup right, it still maynot work because there are skin files you need to edit also, but that depends.
Im going on vacation in the morning, in the middle of packing now. So i prob wont be around for the rest of the week.
Ill try to explain how to edit the file later, but its really worth it for right now if you would just hold off on custom edits. Im going to setup a section in the file where all custom edits can go, and then i can keep updateing the file and people can still preserve there custom stuff when new releases come out.
also, looking at your command, i dont think that would work anyway, what is a .scf file? RR will only open .exe files, it can send a command to the app to open a specific file after it runs it.
