oh it wont be that much of a change to where anything would be in a different place. Im not going to have two sets of .skin files to maintain, the only difference will be in the graphics. What i really ment is there are still graphic changes being made to the night version so i dont want to dig in too deep until i stop changeing stuff

But none of the functions will change across the two.

Ive even been thinking of a way to bring the older lsx skin into the picture as a brusted metal version.

looking at the progress list on the first post, most things are marked done. So if you dont see something you're looking for in that list, now is the time to speak up.

yes, sort of.
i didnt change the signal strength meter
all new battery meter
updated track progress slider
i didnt change the volume slider

The track progress bar is not green anymore, its red. I didnt change the volume slider at all as the only other color thats suitable for it would be red also and would make it a little harder to tell the difference between the two.
I think there is a screenshot somewhere that has them.

Personally, im happy with the sliders or i can live with them as they are. I may change the bat meter again slightly before release. Could they still be improved on? Sure, no doubt. But i honestly hate screwing with them. Its the most annoying part of the whole skin process, for me at least.

Im not really sure exactly what it is a few of you guys dont like about the sliders, colors? I know the green didnt fit in, but felt it was trade mark volume color, but the red does look better and fits in more. If you guys have some references to examples of sliders you do like feel free to post them.

I have an idea in my head now that i think would look cool, so if it still seems cool in my head tomorrow i may take a crack at 100% completely all new volume and track sliders.

I had mentioned this to you before and certainly will again - I love LSX. I think Void does a killer job of using screan space with the button layout and hard to decide which I like better, but I love LSX. Maybe its the way it looks in my vehicle ;-) The 3D very large buttons, typeface, and so much of it I often find myself creating other skin elements around - and before I know it - I am back to an all LSX again....

I would love to see this one again with some new stuff - you did a great job on both of these...

If your seeing the file menu and the status bar at the bottom it sounds like your not using skinbedder. Im not even sure right now how things were setup in the old LSX skin (which needs a serious update).
What files did you copy from LSX to LSXVOID, was it just that startup.exe file?

As for updates, they will still be located on the first post in this thread. Editing old post was turned back on.

IG3 is definately better than IG2, so i would update.

Oddly enough it embedded correctly after I copied the startup.exe file. But only for a day. Then it stopped embedding correctly. But today I tried SkinBedder on its own. It did not work as it should. But I have my old Road Runner setup under a directory Road Runner Old, and tried it there. In that directory it worked as it should both stand alone and with the LSX skin running. So now I have copied the old startup.exe AND the old Skinbedder2.99999999 into the new LSTOOLS and all seems to be working in LSX VOID, for now.

Thanks for your help and I think I probably will go ahead and purchase IG3 since IG2 will most likely not be supported too much longer. And to make sure I have the latest and greatest.

EDIT:

Well okay, seems after the reboot it didn't work. I believe it is a timing issue with the warning button because when it doesn't embed properly the warning doesn't go away automatically. I used the file menu to close IG. Then restarted it and it worked fine. So that must be it. Anyway, I'm not going to worry about it because I just ordered IG3

anyhow. I can only think of one thing. that im finding annoying and could be a simple fix.

On the interente browser screen. I told you that the slider wasnt working correctly here. anyhow i was thinkink, yes i know i smell smoke too, instead of a fav button at the top, is there any way that that could be a drop down with audio controls. like next, previous, pause, play, audio, fm. Not where it would switch ut of the screen.

I find myself sitting there. surfing when im stuck waiting on someone or if my wife is running into the bank etc, Even sometimes in parking lot traffic, I might want to check something like a stock price, right now if im listening to fm, or to an mp3, and i want to skip to next i cant. If i want to pause i cant. if i was listening to the radio and wanted to listen to mp3s i cant switch. Well I can, but id have to exit all the way out to the main page, then come back into the web interface, which anything i was looking at is now gone and im back at the home page. Im just looking for a way like you have the dropdown for ig3 on the main menu, maybe some kind of dropdown that has just the basic audio commands. The main ones being next and play/pause. thanks
