For general RR issues press #1

I seem to get both, but its cool, i dont mind. The only thing i don't like is when i answer the same question like 5 times in one day, and sometimes the info is like 3 or 4 post above the person asking the question. That tics me off. But doesn't happen a whole lot.
Its all good. I really don't mind, long as it doesn't get outta control.

The way the ExecTBL.ini files work is like this.
The one in the root of RR is the global ExecTBL.ini file that RR will read each time its launched no matter what skin you use.
Typically the cdrip stuff would be in this file, but there is a bug preventing me from using those commands in my skin if they are present in the global file, so i had to move them to the one inside my skin folder.
Each skin, if it wants to use advanced functions and custom commands etc, will create an ExecTBL.ini file in the skins folder that is only used for that skin.
When RR loads it reads both of these files and is supposed to treat the contents of both files as one file.
The problem is that when it runs into 2 commands that are named the same, it freaks out.
For example, the "ONSKINSTART" command that i use in my skin is where all the magic for setting up the custom buttons is started. The definitions in this command tell RR what custom buttons are available, there names and commands associated with them.
The global ExecTBL.ini file also by default has the "ONSKINSTART" command, but its blank by default and does nothing. So when RR sees both of them, instead of ignoreing the blank command and use the one with functions, it chooses the blank command, and thus none of the custom buttons will work.
Ill talk to guino about this issue, i posted about it before, but im not sure hes actually aware of the issue since its been a few releases and its still broken.
The global ExecTBL.ini file isnt installed or included with recent updates anymore, but that only helps if you either are a new RR user or do a clean install of RR.
So when you load another skin, the only feature you will loose is CDRIP support, which you can add back by adding those commands into the ExecTBL.ini file that is located (or you create) inside of the other skins folder.
I wouldn't recommend adding it back the root one, unless you dont plan on ever using the void skin again.
Hopefully this wont be an issue in future updates to both lsxvoid and RR.
in case anyone else is having the clipping issue. heres the link.
thanks LS for pointing that out. I didnt see it when i glanced thru. :P
There will be a very small update today that fixes the issues in XM/SIRIUS screens where the playlist is ontop of the album art.
The updated screens will more closely match how the audio player is layed out.
also, fix the xm sat sliders are using the wrong sliders.
There will also be an additional alternative main menu that does not have album art, but a place holder for logos.
I downloaded the file and put it in the root of Road Runner, but i can't start up the skin...

You need to be more specific. Your not supposed to put anything in the root of RR. The skin download is an installer, it should install the skin for you.
i get the skin working but there's no button... i have copied the buttons command(? if that's what it's called) to the RR.ini in the root... but it doesn't work...
I don't see that file in the root of RR...
