usegesture=false and the red dot is gone.
RR has gesture support. When you click and drag your mouse in predefined shapes or gestures it will execute a command. The red dot appears when the gesture is being drawn.
Likely you are in the gps screen and while you are trying to click a button your finger drags also, activating the gestures, and executing commands based on how you dragged your finger.
You can either
A: read up on the gesture feature and learn how it works and use it for quick access to commands.
B: Turn it off
Open RRConfig.exe or from inside the skin click the "Config" button > "Settings" button and uncheck "Gestures Enabled (default)"
Thanks. Yeah I still have alot to learn about RR.
One thing ive been thinking about doing, not sure if its better or not.
The quickmenu, accessed from the top middle where the gps speed is. Is also customizeable so you can stick whatever commands you want in there and they will show up on any screen where the quickmenu is available.
I was thinking about making the quick menu context sensitive or unique for each screen that its available on. So for example on the main screen you could have buttons in the menu that are generic actions, like shutdown, mini, lock etc. But if you go to the audio screen the quick menu would show audio related options that aren't currently avail in the audio player.
The only downside to doing it like this would be that you dont have the same commands available on every screen which was the whole point of the quickmenu to begin with.
Just wanted to put that out there and see what others thoughts are on the matter. So if your happy with the way the quick menu works now, say so, if you would like to see context quick menus say so also.
Oh I never realized that functionality. Right now when I click on the GPS speed in the top middle it goes to Audio, and does that on each screen. Are you saying that you're thinking about allowing that command to be custom to each screen? I thought you meant the drop down list that appears when you press the time was the quick menu. So in my opinion, I don't see any extra need to have it customizable on each screen since I really don't use it. Each screen for me has exactly what I need.
Also, on a side note, can the GPS speed be changed to say a scrolling song title instead of GPS speed? It's kinda defunct for me since I use Mapmonkey most of the time and it just says 0 Mi/h.
Or just click and hold the gps speed and choose "MENU" from the command list (2ndscreen). Then you get the popup menu.
the gps speed will work no matter what gps app you use.
For this to work a few requirements need to be met first.
1. Split your GPS com port (search for xport)
this allows you to have more than one application access your gps port at the same time.
2. Set the gps port in RRConfig.exe
now the speed will show how fast ur going.
I went to go download 1.6 and 1.6 patch and Kaspersky picked this up:

Anything to worry about or should this be ok?
