RPM Is correct, you do not have either Road Runner, or the plugin set up correctly. This is NOT specific to the Blue Devil skin. They are settings to make it work in ANY skin. There are LOTS of FAQ's on setting up visulizations, However, here is a step-by-step guide, spelled out, on getting it to work. You press the "visualize" button on the bottom (???). If it doesn't work then go in to RRConfig and/or WinAmp vis plugin config and make sure it is setup right.
First, Guino HIGHLY recommends using Winamp 2.95, as it has been tested, tested, again tried and true, and what the RR code was built on in the first place. You can get Version 2.95 HERE Do NOT change the Winamp Skin, leave it as the simple boring brownish gray Classic skin.
Everyone also suggests the "Milk Drop" Plugin. It's simple to set up, and also been tested thoroughly with Road Runner. You can get that HERE. Get this working first, then you can experiment on other visulizations, and try to get others to work. You can get the Milk Drop Plugin HERE
Once you have the Milk drop plugin installed, you need to configure it. Run WInamp by itself, without RR running. Make sure the winamp window is the active window and press "Control K", this will bring up the plugins screen. Select the Milk Drop Plugin in the list, and click CONFIGURE at the bottom of that window. On the first "Common Settings" tab, in the 3rd section down and on the right make sure that "Integrate with Winamp" is NOT checked (This will remove the window border for the visulization window). Now click OK, and CLOSE the Winamp Settings menu, and then close Winamp itself.
Now run RRConfig, and you will have to scroll down a bit, as the settings are the lower part of the GENERAL settings. Look for "VISULIZATION PLUGIN" & select MilkDrop. This tells Road Runner, what window to look for, and to natively embed it into Road Runner. SAVE the configuration, and that should be it.
Now when you run ANY skin and click the visulization button, it will embed into the skin, and the border will not be visable around that visulization window. If you want to use another visulization, or another version of Winamp, you are pretty much on your own. The instructions above, are for the most part, suggestions from the author of Road Runner himself.

That was an oversight on my part, and has been corrected.Oh also, a suggestion on the first page the link says 10-13 even though it goes to same spot, i would either update that or have it say download here

I will have to look into this a little more. I did not write the code for the gauges, HappyG did (Here is the ORIGINAL THREAD for the gauges) I just included them in the skin. I will see what I can find out. For some of you, if NONE of the gauges are working, then you do not have RR configured for your GPS port correctly. The gauges have nothing to do with any other GPS software, and just pull their information from RR.I tried out the new flash GPS graphs last night and they were not working as planned.

I have been naming the file but the date, not version number. I will start to include both in the filename now.Hey John, are you labeling your updates on BlueDevil as you go along? I'm not sure which "version (latest update)" i have anymore. LOL
As for the screen saver, Sorry, thats probably not possible. THe intent of a screen saver is to "take over" the ENTIRE screen, and will therefor not be possible to put it into another window.
Ok, I have had some coding problems, and the next release will be delayed a bit. I will keep you guys posted on progress, but it looks like it's gonna be about a week before all this is straightened out.

your so quick about updates..
you sure you dont want some coffee or some cash? he-he
Heheh This next update hasn't been so quick... unfortunately. Guino is looking into the problem I am having, and gonna get back to me.
As for the GPS gauges, I am NOT a flash programmer, and honestly know NOTHING about it. I just muddled my way through the existing gauge, and change the background out. Thats my extent of flash knowledge
In doing that I think I messed some code up by accident that made the gauges work properly. I just re-edited the gauges and they SEEM to be working now. If someone could please test them, I would appreciate it! I know they are not floating now, but there are now 2 Speedo gauges, one in MPH, and one for KPH, at least I think the one for KPH is actually KPHWith no car for the next couple days, I just cant test to see if thats the case.
The compass is now working correctly, as I tested it with a GPS receiver hooked to the desktop PC, and the needle matches the inacurate degrees displayed below it, as it is stationary and cant figgure out what dirrection it is going, like myself sometimes!!!
Here are the gauges, if someone could get back to me ASAP and let me know if they are working, i will include them with the skin, and release the update.
I am not going to set up a PayPal link, but if someone INSISTS on sending something, thats fine by me. My Paypal Account is tied to my JohnWPB No Spam @gmail.com address. This is NOT neccessary by ANY means, I have just had a lot of people ask in the thread, and even more via PM's msg's.

God i suck. i wasnt being sarcastic about updates. you really do have them quick, you may not release them but you work really quick, AND let us know whats going on. I think letting us know what is going on is what makes me feel that so much work is going on. ha-ha expect some cash as soon as i can remember my account ha-ha. how to do i test those gauges?
John,
I'll check out the updated code for the gauges later today and post back tonight. Sorry thats as fast as I can get to the car![]()

I knowthat, *I* was being sarcastic though, as I wanted to have this update out already, but the last little bit of code has holding me up! Oh, and the instructions to test the gauges are in a readme in the zip file.
That's great, I appreciate it!

is "Load Playlist" function fixed yet ? Maybe you can just add a way to define a directory where all the m3u files are.
The Load Playlist has been fixed about 2 versions ago. Download the latest in the first post.
Ok, there is another delay.... this is starting to drive me absolutely crazy....
WARNING: Rant and a bit of frustration follows:
I was having trouble with the OSKTOCMD variable and I could not get it to work correctly. I PM'd Guino, he replied that the OSTOCMD cant be used with all the commands on a button that I was using and I would have to split the command in 2 sections, one on the button, and the other in the ExecTbl.ini. I did that and still it would not work. I told this to Guino, and he said the code looked fine to him and that it should work, I PM'd again, and told him for some reason it is not working. He checked into it, and found that it was a problem in the RR code itself. He fixed it, and put up a new RR version. When I tried it, the first part of the command did indeed work! Yea! I can finish this now!!! BUT now the 2nd part (That was the part that worked in the first place) no longer works! I PM'd Guino again (I HATE bothering him so much!), and Ill just have to wait and see the outcome.
The bottom line is I am trying to add some serious functionality for playlist management. A new screen will allow you to save the current playlist, Add the current playlist to en existing one, renaming, deleting, creating new playlist ect. All of these will have a confirmation window that it was actually done, that will pop-up for 2 seconds and disappear.
The reason for wanting to add a playlist to another playlist is simple. I have a Favorite songs playlist. I now and then will search and make an on the fly playlist of more favorite songs, I then want to add ALL of those songs to the favorites, not just a single song. There are no commands to do this directly. Right now if you select a playlist from the list, and save to it, it REPLACES that playlist, so I am finagling the code and using "tricks" to make it work. The problem is the actual RR commands to do this are just not working the way they should.
Hopefully this will all be resolved soon, and I can complete this.
