If you were read the posts by John regarding this you would see that it was rasterized. that means you can not edit it. In order to change the text you have to re-add it.
I am in the exact same boat. I just can't seem to edit the text on the menu layer of the button I wish to change. I am using photoshop elements 5 & I have also tried paint.net open source with the photoshop pluggin. It really gives me an appreciation for all the work John has put into this.

OK guys, sorry about all the problems. The file has been updated now to have the NON Rasterized text, so you can now just position the text cursor, and change the text. The font that is used on the main menu, and all of the buttons of the skin is also included in the .zip. You then have the option to leave it the way it is, or you can add a drop shadow or other effect to the text. I guess I should have done this from the beginning, but really never thought about it. See the first post for the link to the PSD's.
EDIT: Hehehe Sangre, looks like we were thinking about the same thing at the same timeIM me when you get a chance, I had a HD crash and lost your nick in Trillian. I had everything else backed up, but forgot about ,y contact list
This goes to anyone else that has IM'd me through one of the IM programs, just IM me, and I can re-add you to my contact list.

You will need to download the PSD files, and alter them to your liking in Photoshop or Gimp. Then you will have to edit the menu.zkin file to move the button code around to the buttons you want.
To use the EQ, you will need to adjust the EQ to your liking first. When you have it set up for the type of music you are listening to, you then press and HOLD one of the buttons, Rock for instance. This will save the current settings to that button. You will need to do the same for each button that you want.

suppose it can be a biggy if you'd like to get the 3 dials in Blue Devil working - which is my case. I also suppose that trial and error are the best methods as it kinda sounds like there could be a conflict between xport and other such programs as Spanner and GPSGate.
In a nutshell, Sangre, Garmin's USB antenna needs to emulate a com port in order for programs such as iNav, Streets & Trips, etc. to see it under setup. No program out there is "smart" enough to recognize USB (at least not yet).
Have you tried the DeLorme Serial Emulation Driver for USB?
It is what I had to use to get things working. My gauges work, however the speedometer is off about 20mph in the gauges. IG works perfectly in the skin

I have my GPS using COM 2, GPSGATE or Xport sents to com 6. I set RR to COM 6 and IG to COM2

I use this, DeLorme Serial Emulation Driver for USB. I thought I read that some were having problems with it. I'm not, may have been with IG.
Also their site say's version 1.1, If you bought Street Atlas 2006 or below, then the utility driver shows version 1.0... from their install DVD..
One thing I noticed about this virtual port driver, If you have multiple USB devices, (who doesn't) like a WLAN dongle, etc. then from a cold boot or from hibernation, the DeLorme Serial Emulation Driver takes the front (process) while it's initializing, make sure to let it do it's thing, the other USB devices will follow suit and initialize fine, this can take several seconds..
Ouch John, a crash and you didnt back up trillian? how the hell... not to mention... your contacts are stored on AIM's servers not your computer....something smells fishy..
will AIM you later today.
So how is the skin coming?
I had just about everything backed up thank God.... I did however lose 2 days of stuff that I was working on on the skin... Not much stuff though, just little things. The drive went out totally, Scratching and clicking sounds and all. I couldn't retrieve anything from the drive, and just had to drop a couple bills for a new one.
As for the screen names stored on AOL's server, that is where it gets strange, I lost some recent names, and recovered some from like 4 years ago that were NOT on my list before the crash. Even though AOL stores the names remotely, that doesn't cover ICQ, Yahoo and MSN that handle things a bit differently.
I am having to rethink the animated weather thing. The webplugin sometimes just refuses to close, and other times it closes fine with the same button! Even with "||CLOSE||EXIT||CLOSE" on the button! The problem is, if it does not close when returning to the RR screen, RR is useless, and the ONLY way to get control back is to First end task the webplugin, and then RR, and restart RR. WAY to unstable.... I am looking at alternate ways to try to do this.
I did add a nice little confirmation to the XM and Sirius skins. Press a new button on the skin, and the Artist name and Title are saved to a .txt file for later review to get the song that you were listening to. This also work for advertisements, if you HAPPEN to hear something you are interested in, just tap the button, it is saved, and a Confirmation pop's up showing the Artist / Title that was saved, and disappears 2 seconds later.

nice work on the skin.
very weird with AOL.
I was just tinkering around with the colors of iGuidance. I do not like the default colors, as it makes the maps look "cartoonish" to me.
I just duplicated the look of Google Maps, and it turned out pretty good. I am not sure how well it will work in the car yet, in the sunlight and all, but it sure looks nice here on the desktop. The link to it is in the first post.
Here is a screen shot, NOT perfect, but as close as I could get with iGuidance:
