Thanks for the kind words! It has been a lot of work, as this is my first skin, and a bit of a learning curve is involved for usre.

I have updated the images in the 2nd post with a snap of the XM screen.

Yes, the radar, temp, and satelite images work. It uses a program I wrote called "WeatherDownloader.exe" to save the images to your local hard drive. There is an .ini file that the program looks for that you can edit to use your favorite weather images, from weather.com, your local TV station ect. You can also set an event in your skin, that when an Internet connection is available to update the images, or if there is an internet connection, they will load when the weather page is displayed. The images are cached to your hard drive, and will remain there, till the images are updated. So you can use your home wireless network to update the images before going off for a drive.

The only suggestion I would like to make, is to change the font of the song which is playing in the top status bar.

I was actually going for the "dot matrix look" and that's the way it will be released. It is very easy to change the font to what ever you want to suit your oqn tastes in the skin file with a text editor, or with the RR Skin editor.

like this skin alot can't wait for the .psd files need to change colors unless you are willing to do black back and red letters.

I will release the psd files The skin will be "as released" as I can not anticipate the infinate color combinations people will/do want. Be forewarned, some of the PSD's are a bit hard to follow! There are LOTS of layers, and I have done my best to make it easy to figgure out, but their not perfect by any means!

Jeep642, thanks for the info on the Sirius hardware.... too little too late I purchased a XMPC-1000 USB for $45 on Ebay. Was a breeze to get working as it is natively supported by Road Runner.

You can also set an event in your skin with RR's "Online Indicator" (Good for Wi-Fi Hopping), that when an Internet connection is available to update the images, or if there is an internet connection, they will currently just load when the weather page is displayed. As for releaseing the skin it is getting pretty close to release.... I would say another week at the most guys. Thanks for your patience, I just want to get as many kinks worked out so there are not a slew of things to fix after the release and all.

TV is something I do not currently use, as a TV tuner is built into my touchscreen. I will create a skin for the TV shortly after the skin is released though, as I have a tuner card in my test PC and have it working with the default Brushed Metal skin.

Also, I do not use Map Point, and have no way to test it, or even know what is really needed to make it work correctly. If anyone wants to work on a Map Point skin, let me know! I can provide the raw buttons, backgrounds, fonts ect to build from.

EDIT: A Map Point Skin is now in the ZIP file as well as a TV Tuner Skin.

kolemieux, Hard to tell if you were the first or not! There must be a lot of other night owls in the forums! I posted the link at 1:30 am EST, and within 3 hours there have been 18 downloads!

Hopefully I will get some good feedback, bug reports, and suggestions on additions ect from you guys.

The main foreseeable problem right now is the iGuidance integration. My iGuidance integration and control is based on the latest RR beta, and there are still a few kinks they guys behind it are working out.

The skin is working fine here for me, but I have never released a skin, to see how it goes for you guys to get it all working ect.

Make sure to read the first 2 posts, as there are links and comments about support files to make all of the features work (Image Viewer, GPS Status ect).

I see that one of the skin files has weather and another has Sat. Is there a way to use both?

Also, you spelled satellite incorrectly in the skin....but then it is beta!!

I ran into an issue - after using the custom dest menu in the gps skin (top button on right hand side) RR stops responding to touches.. doesn't crash - just won't accept input from the mouse or touchscreen. I have reproduced this several times - I'm gonna open the skin file and see what is up... (maybe my config)
