looking good E. when I rebuild the system soon, I think I'll start using your skin... you might even get a tan since I'll be s'boarding over xmas.

I have to agree with some of the suggestions about purple. perhaps yellow or amber?

here's a few quick photoshop'ed examples.







I think yellow is the furthest away from red (amber is yellow with red) so yellow would be my choice. These colours are also used in the BMW dash for things like engine light etc. The other option is pale blue, like the high beam light. That's a very sharp contrast and would achive a similar effect to the purple.

I have to check with enforcer and find someone to host it for me because my webspace is a bit limited at the moment..

This said there is only one little bug I wanna show you. When in the Audio Player on the album art there sometimes is a black spot. When you open a folder and start to play it it isn't there but when you exit RR and reopen it it's there. See pic: (btw, this is the new colour I've made)

Found it. The repeat and shuffle indicators covered a part of the albumart. Changed the wide of them from 100 to 70. Problem solved!

Also changed the Visuals button in the audio player to Equalizer. I don't use visuals and going directly form the audio player to the equalizer seems handy.

One question, How do I get the Picviewer to work? I guess there has to be a path set somewhere, can't find where..

I also have redone the sidebars again since I didn't really liked them red. Now I just made them grey. This way the skin doesn't look all red and the grey matches the red nice. (sorry for the purple ones but I really didn't like them )

Will give this a look see, Getting the right orange/red balance was mainly what held this skin up, I thought I had the right balance to match the OBC and climate control on my E36. Maybe the more orange will suit other E numbers. Will try your colours in mine though.

I'd be interested in seeing the changes you have made to the radio skin for HQCT as I can't test the radio so it's maninly guesswork.

Something I'm gonna change is replacing a button I don't use a lot (don't know wich one yet) in the iGuidance GPS screen by "Day/Night". Since day and Night are two different commands for iG I'm planning to devide one button in two halfs. So when you press left it's Day and right it's Night. This way I don't need two different buttons for it.

I did start to look at adding more to the iGuidance commands, and one of them was the day/night change, but When I tried using the sendkeys to do it, it would get to the menu where it was on, but then would ignore anymore commands. Might have to try and stick a wait in the command line.

I just change some little things to make it a little more to my taste. And I also learned my lessons now. So there isn't gonna be a "Play Screen" with spectrum analyzer anymore since I didn't use it. Also the BMW logo stays in place this time because I hardly ever used the functions of the iDrive button I've made before. Also everything I change this time I do it in notepad so I don't mess up the functionality of the config program.

Het I started this by cutomising BTBE's orginal to my taste, so I have no problem people changing versions to suit themselves. In fact I welcome any suggestions to improve it, some I may impliment, some I may not

Noted. actually changed it to 60, as that's all the Indicators need.

I knew the purple would be controversial, but hey it had to be tried. Bear in mind the colours used are supposed to work in the car (with the monitor I have). So although it might look bad on the desktop it may look different in the car.

Also I am doing this to match the OBD and Climate control displays as these are what it is near and in-line with. Not the Instrument cluster colours.
