What I thought was extra neat was the fact that a few of those now support the quad core cpu's as well. you could do video encoding while playing games and cpu time for protein folding, all in your car.

that would explain why i never saw this happen. I also have a bunch of dir that dont have any mp3's, actually the first sub dir of my whole lib is like that.

but i also have album art in the top level Artist folder.

Its still a little odd to me though cuz the script doesn't actually look for any files or file types and really doesn't care if the dir is empty or not.
Ill take a look at the code later tonite and see if i can find anything that should fix it if the dir is empty.

But glad you have it working now. Let me know of any other issues with it you run into.

keep us updated on what u choose for ur next mobo - im struggling for grunt with my sp13000, and have been eyeing up the kontron 986lcd. but less expensive core 2 options would be good to consider too.

weird issue here. I recently reformatted my carputer and did a fresh install of windows XP + RR + LSXVoid (all latest versions).

Now there is an issue with the volume control. Any time i touch the volume slider, it put my main system vol to around 5% and there's no way to bring it back other than using 'sndvol32.exe'.

Never had this issue before, any one have any ideas?

i have that board and i love it, but it is probably a bit more feature packed then i need. It also did take a bit of work to get a hold of one, and they are a bit expensive.

in rrconfig, try mapping the vol control to different lines (main, wave, etc.) i had the same problem, and doing that fixed it, forgot what i ended up having it mapped to tho.

yes there is a way to do this, but this falls into the "you will have to modify it yourself" catagory. Its not a bad idea i suppose, esp if you have a heat issue. Ill prob add a small cpu temp to one of the menu options that can be turned on/off.

That top area is pretty full, so to display cpu temp, you will have to replace something else that is already there.
The only text in the middle area is the gps speed. On the top right is the date and time on the left. Which would u like to replace?


On the heat issue, you really should look into fixing this. It will only shorten the life of your computer.

yeah, i found the thread where you are talking about that board. It seems really nice and right up my alley, but a bit unsure if i want to pay that price for just the MB. It also seems pretty hard to actually even buy the board?

Some of the brands in the thread ive never heard of, so im a little weary of choosing them. Im leaning towards the AOPEN or MSI brands.
One thing i cant seem to find anywhere online is some benchmarks comparing the intel mini-itx boxes to a standard full desktop. I really want to get a better perspective on the performance of the boards before i dive in.
