sounds like your rr.ini got corrupted somehow. 2.2 uses rr.ini to store all its settings so it reads and writes to this file multiple times per session. Its possible that during your last shutdown something bad happened and RR didnt quite exit correctly and the file got messed up.

Personally ive never seen this happen.

3.0 does not use rr.ini for any of the skins settings, everything is stored in skin.ini inside the skins folder. So the update should smooth that over by never writing to rr.ini

if this is something that happens more than this one time, let me know as it shouldn't (and for me it hasnt) ever ever happen.

here i edited the spectrum analyzer vis to have less bars, i haven't noticed a reduction in cpu usage, but my desktop is plenty fast. I haven't tried it on the sp13000 yet.

less bars = less getspec() calls in avs, I was hoping that would help.

Theres a bunch to try - go ahead and fiddle this a good vis to start learning avs with.

If you just want the original, with less bars use
spectrum analyzer fewbars.avs

the others i was just goofing off with, blueglow goes sorta well with lsx.

note i fiddled with these with pixel doubling on - they will look different with pixel doubling off.

ok, lately i reinstalled RR and this skin because i was having little problems with mine... ever since RR will run for 5-10 min then will lock up...

windows isnt frozen as i can ctrl alt del. but rr freezes up everytime, sometimes i can wait 10 min and it comes back but i cant figure out why

any ideas or thoughts on how to figure this out?

Does it lockup with other skins? Is eveything updated (drivers, Flash, etc.)?

are you sure you have the latest version of RR? This sounds like an issue with older versions of RR when it would try to run an app and cant find the path, RR would just sit and wait, basicly giving the impression of a lock up.
