Thanks. I'll check the setting notes by JohnWPB and maybe I'll upgrade Winamp to 5.13 (I had 2.95 because it looked like it was recommended for Roadrunner).

An important note, the transparent AVS will not work with Winamp 2.95. I have tested 5.13 as well as Liquid Smoke and a few others, and find it to be very stable, and fully Road Runner compatible. A couple of the versions prior to 5.13 as well as newer ones, do not work with RR well. The visu will not embed properly. Winamp 5.13 seems to be the magic one


Sorry to traipse all over your thread LS I was bored!

Ok. So I follow JohnWPB's hints (thanks!) and upgraded Winamp to 5.13.
No difference: LSXVoid still does not show visualizations in the main menu.

Then I've installed Shock Skin 3.0 and got it working! I reverted back to the BMV2 skin and even there visualization works correctly.

So now I'm thinking something is wrong with the LSXVoid skin in my installation/configuration.

One more note: if I click the visualization icon in the upper right corner of the AUDIO page, the skin does show the spectrum visu (not trasparent, however!)

Someone can help me troubleshoot this? It's a pity I can't take full advantage of this nice skin!!!

Quick recap: So the VIS works correctly outside of RR (just winamp 5.13). Works correctly and transparent in other skins. Nothing happens when you click the VIS in the main screen of LSX VOID 2.0.

I've run into some strange VIS issues while swapping skins....exit from rr and restart rr with lsx void as the default fixes it (or tapping the VIS button a few times to stop/start the VIS). Which VIS and Logo options are you using? It seems the usual problems with this have been covered...
Skins are pretty easy to reinstall...I'd try that. Or let someone on your machine using logmein to take a look.

Any chance of adding speed sensitive volume control?

IE: faster speed= increase in volume (user definable)

I seen to recall RR has this capability........

Hi LS,

Don't know how I missed this before, but would it be possible to incorporate this rr config editor RR Config Updated - Blue ZX3 instead of the default one when settings is selected in LS void?
It seems to be much more versatile than the default RR one.........

this may already be simi setup. cant remember, but i do remember using it.

I think all you really have to do is add a few lines to rr.ini and its done.

There arent any settings in the UI for the skin to turn on/off ect, but i can easily add them in.

I think the above VIS issue is cleared up? If not a small recap.

The spectrum vis only works with winamp 5x 5.13 being the only recommended (by me) version of winamp 5 to use with RR.

On the main screen the vis is turned on/off in the top right corner. also note, since there are about 10 different layout options for the main menu, make sure you are currently using one that supports a vis ( i think they all do but there may be one that dont)

Make sure you have winamp set to use classic skin or no visuals will embed no matter whta you do.

transparency is only supported in winamp 5, use screensaver.ini and rr.ini to set options for this, there is a guide on the first few post.

I knew the problem was something easy I was missing, and your sentence "On the main screen the vis is turned on/off in the top right corner. " cleared it up.
I completely missed the fact the the VIS are activated by a click in that zone of the screen! Now everything is all right! Thanks a lot.
This episode however makes me thinking about a documentation of your skin; as someone suggested, it is not only a skin but more like an addon for RR and, as such, I think it would deserve a rather consistent manual: have I missed that too?

About dynamic background I'll stop trying to do something that cannot be done: I'll simply and eagerly wait for LSXVoid version 3
