im not to fond of that either, even though ive never used it.
For the life of me, what i dont understand is why not just use the ratings info thats stored in the ID3 tag of the mp3? Instead of dealing with databases and playlist files ect. Its just a really sloppy way of doing it IMO.

I like the ratings plugin and after screwing with the latest version of it, i have it working but the first thing i noticed is how much slower it is. So if anything, ill likely just rip it out, or dig into the source and fix it myself.

In the time being (cuz im probably not going to put the download back up today) for those that do have it, just delete the ratings folder completely and you should be ok.

Hey liquid, just a thought...

Since you're working so close with guino and there are a few issues popping up here and there, have you considered making a complete carpc installer?

By this I mean, assume a brand new fresh Windows XP install with updates only. So it installs RR, your skin, flash, the right winamp version, etc.

Would just help to create a baseline standard for everyone to use.

Hi LS, just wanted to add this to the post, when i add the line X,mp3art in the menu.skin for the album art to show up ..it works ..no issues there. But if i change anything with the skin file ( like choosing big album art or the vis settings) the album art no longers shows, the reason for this is the line X,Mp3art is no longer there in the skin file, it gets removed!!
any pointer on how t fix this issue or how to have the line permanently in the menu.skin file?

Nice idea, it will make sure everything works together, and less configuration for us too.

Would definitely love one.

The ratings plugin is cool. I've used it in the past except what I use it for is something like all the songs rated 5 stars are hip-hop, 4 stars = R&B, 3 stars.... and so on. What would be great is if I could just click on a song that was playing and add it to a playlist. So far I don't have any problems but I installed everything in the default directory. Anyone else not having a problem with the ratings plugin or LS3 itself?

I think this is a good idea if you don't have too much on your plate already.

Do any of the gurus here know if it's possible to use one of the empty buttons to load another skin or a plugin? I'm using a nice plugin by b8bboi named Busi Nav that shows and navigates to nearby points of interest. It has it's own skin file and one loads the plugin by attaching the following command to a button:

"LOAD;businav_full.skin;Businav;C:\Program Files\Road Runner\BusiNav\businav.exe;Busi Nav",""

I'm trying to figure out how to set up a button to launch it, but must confess that the guts of LSXVoid are beyond me. I was hoping to be able to use one of the Empty buttons to do it so I can also properly label the button, but the empty button setup only allows links to .exe files. Any help would be appreciated.
