i think you have to set it to hibernate upon hitting the 'power' button not 'sleep'

i think there is also a setting in rrcong called force shutdown options or something like that

open "exit_menu.skin" and just change the button code, from "SLEEPCPU" to "HIBERNATE"

Stil no joy on the video. Applied elcamino's patch and at least now I get a MPC error screen:

I've set my paths evrywhere I can find to the d drive, I even ripped a movie to a folder on the c drive. The player will play the files, but it just pics a random file for a start point. (this was before the patch, now I get the error message)

Any ideas?

It's all I have left to get working......................but I just can't figure it out.

There must be something in the skin code. MPC will play the video in preveiw mode (embedded in the small window), but when in the "full screen" skin it won't play and flashes back and forth from a total black screen to a black screen with the controls on the bottom.

I've tried this on three machines so far and multiple installs. Same result everytime. But the strangest part is everythin is fine when I use the old brushedmetl skin. I'm baffled......

@Elcamino- thanks for the patch, but it doesn't seem to be my issue.

I didn't look for any instructions once LS told me where the commands are. I just opened exectbl.ini in the skin folder, found a button on the menu screen that I wouldn't be using, in this case "Sirius," and changed the command from Sirius to:

"LOAD;businav_full.skin;Businav;C:\Program Files\Road Runner\BusiNav\businav.exe;Busi Nav"

Now the plugin loads whenever I hit the Sirius button. The only problem is that the button still says Sirius, which I don't think can be changed. As long as I have the functionality I can live with the mislabeled button.

GW, I haven't closely followed your travails as described in your previous posts, but are you able to get video to play in other skins?

Yes. Worked fine in 2.02, works fine in brushed metal. MPC willplay dvd's outside of 3.0 but won't when run from 3.0

I'm baffled, must be something in the skin, or maybe my 3.0 download was corrupted............or I coul dstill have a setting screwed up somewhere.

I just don't know anymore after going at it for 2 days straight.

Does video work for everyone else?

Press and hold the button, select one of the buttons that says "empty" and you will be able to type what you want it to say, when you define it's function...............

get the latest kazaa codec pack(seeing the error you having), and use the latest mpc version, if not just try the built in player and see if that makes any difference. i have zero issues now.(including the video player, and preview)
lastly post your rr.ini, also open up the videos.m3u with notepad and post it.
