actually go back through the exectbl.ini and there are three sections where you can change the config of a button. one changes the button action, one changes the button name, and one changes the name in the list brought up when you click and hold a button to change its action. you should be able to get it to be labeled Businav or whatever you like.

i did this successfully with the coverflow plugin from another skin, but its off center and contains no other buttons, so once i load it up i cant get out of it. is there any way to make a plugin or skin embed and keep the lsx buttons along the bottom still? i picked through the code and was able to modify the x and y positions in the skin, but i dont know how to get the default lsx buttons along the bottom =( man that coverflow plugin sweet by the way!! maybe ls wants to embed it ;-)

The "Empty" buttons work only for embedding programs, as opposed to launching new skins, so, unfortunately, I don't think there's a way to make that work.

Tried that too. ripped a dvd to the hard drive, set the paths, no joy. Works in preveiw and other skins, just not the full video player.

like i said use latest mpc. version, kazaa codec pack also. in the videos.m3u the first movie that mpc is trying to open is the ifo for the dvd, try a regular avi movie. i bet thats the issue.

another test is open mpc manually drag&drop the videos.m3u in it and see if gives you the same error.

you dont need the buttons for the VOID in rr.ini delete those also, (they are in skin.ini)

I opened mpc from the rr root directory, dragged the videos.m3u into it and the movie started to play.

Seems it will play just fine everywhere except when imbedded in 3.0, even when embedded in other skins.

I'm pretty sure it's not rr and something is messed up in 3.0 itself, just have to find it.............no small task considering how big 3.0 is.

I'm pulling down the newest mpc and codec pack now. Might as well give it a try.

LS, any ideas?

not all skins have the video preview feature, which runs 2 instance of mpc. if you dont care about the preview thing, just edit the skin to use the video browser without the preview.

did you delete the buttons from rr.ini?

Thanks for the reply LS but no luck. My RR.ini always shows radiomode=7 so no need to change that.

My workround is to load the standard RR skin and set the Silabs up in that, then switch back to 3.0

you can also change the name of the text, look for a really long line of code that goes something like this

AUDIO>>VIDEO>>.NET>>NAVI>>

find where it says SIRUS and change it

there is also another section that has names in it too for the name of the buttons you see when you choose the command from the command screen (click hold).
