not really sure what the issue your having is (video related) i have to dig through some of these threads.

But one thing to note, because of the new video preview feature, you should set RR to use the internal player in rrconfig.

new info on my video issue.

The steps:
OPen video with skin button, no mpc visable in the taskbar, no video, screen flashes back and forth between fs and controls, select file browser, select preview video, mpc opens in the taskbar, video plays in preveiw window.
Go back to main screen, mpc closes in the taskbar, no video, no mpc in the task bar. It appeared winamp tried to open on one occasion but hasn't repeat this behavior.

LS, which files in the skin should I look at to see if there is something wrong with the mpc start path? It has to be in the skn somewhere, mpc works wthout a hitch in other skins and in stand alone mode...........

I have config set to internal player also.

Actually, it seems like MPC is not opening when the main screen comes up. It opens in the task bar when preview is selected, closes when stop preveiw is selected. when I go back to the main screen, mpc doesn't open in the task bar then either. Is it possible I'm missing a bit of code (or crrupt download maybe) to open mpc on video start?

The more I think about it, and the more I watch it do it's thing, the more I'm beginning to think that 3.0 is just not opening mpc in the main video window. I just don't know what code to check........

Oh well, time to put it all aside, bedy-bye time (long past it actually)

i have a new script which works flawlessly in my skin. i made a script specially for the Void skin. and is been working nicely in my test's.

3.- i think we need a "browser", and "back" buttons in the setmediapath_1, 2, 3, etc. skins, i tried to use those skins and when trying to select a folder that has audio files those files go to the audio player, and the skin exits the browser. (when double clicking in folder). i set my paths manually and works fine.

4.- in the setmedia_3.skin(videopath) the "APPLY" button is missing.

dont get me wrong LS, i just want this skin to be what most of us believe,perfect as is meant to be.

1. what was ur issue with this? One thing i do know is you cant have any non standard objects in your MyComputer folder, most users will not, but i had an issue a very long time ago when i had a program installed that let me put shortcuts to files and other directories in the MyComputer list.


2. i havnt checked the thread for that plugin in a while, so ill check it out again and see whats new. The version included in the skin has been edited though.

3. Turn on "Show ...." in RRConfig, its pretty much a requirement as there are other areas that do not have a back button (most do) due to space. Also, when selecting a path, you want to select the root folder you want to use as a path, not go into the directory as then you will be selecting the contents of that directory as the path and not the directory itself.

4. Not for me, looking at the skin in the editor now and there definitely is a button there. Unless your talking about some other screen. The only screen i have that is close to what you typed is SETMEDIAPATH_3.skin (there is no setmedia_3.skin) so i assume u mean this screen.

also, ( i think it was you that posted this) i dont see any issues with the new skineditor screwing up the skin if you edit it with it with popup screens etc. I used the new editor heavily and its been working fine for me.

the driveletters script sets "DISK1" to the first drive that is found, in my laptop i have a floppy drive, which is A:, so when i try to set the paths using the skin, i had the lock up issue, there was no floppy disk present, so i modded the script to set DISK1 to the main drive. that fixed the issue.

i build a video preview script just for the void based in my new script, and is been working good so far. i haven't uploaded the new version, which is way different than the original, and works like a charm in my skin.

all the other things are my bad. sorry.!!

wow, i havent seen a floppy drive in a long time
you can prob get pass that issue by using tweakui (for windows) and set the floppy drive to not show up in my computer. Ill prob add some more error checking to ignore floppy drives.

id like to take a look at your new version of the video preview.
