There's a setting in RR config for resume. Set it to resume always.

It shouldn't. What it's supposed to do is start playing the music that you have selected.

avast is just giving you false positives. There is no trojan in any of the files. It just flags it because it could , possibly, maybe be a virus but it isnt really sure. This is common with autoit compiled scripts. There are a few threads about it so you can search them out if it makes you feel better.

But also know, that by removing those files pretty much everything under the .NET button will fail to work.

same as what carlos said, plus

2) what version of winamp are you running with RR? When you click Play Selected, it should do exactly that. Play the selected item in the list and all sub directories of that item.

3)There are some bugs with visuals right now in RR. The way its supposed to work is if you turn the visuals on, leave the screen and come back to the same screen the visuals should still be there. You shouldnt have to do anything. Hopefully this will be fixed in a later RR release. As for turning the visuals on by default.
Open RR.ini and add or edit this line
startcommand=VISU

That will start the visuals everytime RR first loads.

Even i am facing the album art not showing issue and i am pretty sure it is an RR issue..!!
Waiting for your write up on embedding FreeFone in your skin.
I have been using D6 as my external GPS app,in the previous LSX 3.0 version the ,the app used to embedd perfectly, but now i am seeing it is not doing so with the latest 3.2 release. can i copy some skin file from the previous version,if yes, what skin file should i copy??

Sorry for spamming all these questions... I just want to tweak it like I want it...

1). I think im going to make a version of the skin that does not use the ilist anywhere or some kind of toggle that will comment out the lines for those that cant use the ilist.
You could manually comment out the right lines, but there are a lot of files you would have to do it to.

2). I dont know what iceradio mode is, so no it does not support it.

3). Trip Meter is broken, actually it has never ever worked!! The only reason the screen for the plugin even still comes with the skin is because i had hopes that one day it would work. So just forget all about the trip meter. um kay.

4). Looks like the two screens are pointing at each other where one of them should be pointing to another screen. Just click the back arrow. All of the available option screens are listed on the "Options" and "General Options" screens. Ill have to look at the right arrow buttons and see where it should point to. As the options screens grow i tend to forget to update the arrow buttons.

5). By default the album art does not show on the main screen (front page) like it did in V2. To enable album art on the main screen click OPT>VIS & LOGO> and choose a layout that has album art. But also note, that if you are still having DirectX issues with ilist then you will prob run into issues as most of the alternative layouts have ilist on the main screen also with the album art.

Next time I'll check my task manager and see if I have multiple version open. I think that I have Winamp 5.5 installed. Maybe that's the problem?

The method i listed does do what you want to do, minus the "easy" part. What your trying to do wasnt specifically added to the skin to do it with that in mind. Its just kind of a by product of other features that so happen to allow you to do it when they are used together. The best way to do it would be with a single click but what goes on behind that single click could be a number of things as not everyone will want it to work a certain way. Basicly what you really want is the ratings feature, but with custom named playlist instead of 1-5. The problem is there really isnt an easy way to know what playlist you want to add a specific track to unless they are hard coded for a specific list of playlist names OR by some method that would let the skin know which playlist you want to add to, which will always require some kind of input from you as to which one. If the names have to be specific, those are the issues that need to be solved. If the names of the playlist dont have to be specific then things get a lot easier and what you end up with is the ratings feature So Ill think about it and try to come up with a way to do it with a single click.

There is already a script that runs when you exit RR that i wrote to make sure none of the other scripts are lingering around, i can easily add winamp.exe to the list of processes.

Anyways, here's a little gem for the command line to unhide yours if it happens:

attrib folder.jpg -h -s /s

This should unhide all your art again.

Complete reinstall of rr 12/06/07, newest void (big vis opt 1), full xp install. Nothing changed, it's all as it comes "out of the box" except for the media paths. Made a folder with one song in it and the album art. The song plays but nothing shows in the album art box!

Just that damn black box with no album art, mocking me..............

What the heck is going on here????????

I think I'm going to try wiping RR and void completely off the drive a start a fresh install..............

*edit 3- That got it. I've been messing around with the program so much lately trying the options and figuring things out that I must have buggered something. Working now.
Aahhhhhh...............finally.

The most common reason for your album art being set as hidden /system files is Windows Media Player. Ive had this problem multiple times and i also use the command line you wrote above to fix it, but not just for the image files the folders also cuz WMP will set attributes on the folders also.

It appears the latest release of RR uses Bluzx's config n place of the old RR config. Not a big deal but the rr config button on the options skin doesn't have the proper address as the config is at RR(space)config instead of RRconfig. I simply changed the name in RR root file to remove the space, but you may want to edit the skin. Your choice, just something or you (and others) to be aware of if you can't open config from inside the skin.

Im aware of this. I dont want to change the code to run the new config tool though because in my opinion its not good for use inside the car as the window and all its controls are just too small. What ill probably do it include the old version of the config tool with the skin since its not included with RR anymore. But in the future as i confinue to build out the options screens, at some point EVERY setting in RR.ini will be able to be set from inside the skin so the config tool wont be needed at all except for initial first time installs of RR.

some nagging problems not related to lsx necessarily but maybe you may have come across it...
5. i still haven't solved my problem where on rr exit it doesn't save the current playing song and position. When rr reloads it defaults to the top of the playlist and doesn't play. i have resumecheck=true set in rr.ini and resume set to always in the config program (i believe resume=2 is the value set in .ini). this used to work a while ago but all of a sudden stopped working.

6. my sirius list only shows channel - artist (example Octane - Godsmack). It used to show that and also show the song playing. Now it appears that it's not "marquee scrolling" (best way I could describe it) to show the song.

again, sorry for posting questions that im sure have been addressed but i tried searching and couldn't find anything. if anyone could even throw me some search terms to look for that would be great.

btw - using xp and 5.13 winamp. newest rr and lsx 3.2

1.) under GPS (if your using the old rrconfig)
There is a setting "International Standard Units" that i belive is for the gps speedo. This should be unchecked as well as the one you already unchecked.

2.) i dont have a carputer right now so i have yet to actually use the new ilist on a touchscreen but im sure you are using them the correct way. They are just a little sensitive and sometimes registers a single click instead of a scroll. Prob just needs to have some additional checking in the code to tell if you are clicking or scrolling. You can also uncheck "Play on List click" in rrconfig, that way you have to double click the list to activate an item.

2a.) There was a fix for this a couple release back, make sure you have the very latest version of RR, the latest version of RR should show a release date of 12/6/07 on the splash screen and also the about screen inside the skin.

3.) which screens are you not seeing album art? Have you setup the main menu screen to show album art by enableing it in the OPT>Vis & Logo options? Do you see art when you browse the LIBRARY?

4). same as #2

5.) resume=2 is the correct line. I remember this being a problem with RR a long time ago where it would exit before it could write the resume info for the song and its time to resume.ini There was a way to force RR to write the info to the file before it exited, but i cant remember what it is now.

6.) i dont think i changed the labels but ill take a look and see. I dont have xm or sirrus in the car (or a carputer) so ill prob post a file you can grab and see if it works or not, mix and repeat.
