Can someone help me out with my install? After reinstalling xp and the newest rr I installed lsx 3.2. Everythings going smooth overall but the navi button isn't working. I have it set to ig3. I have the path correct in rr.ini. It works in dfx though. When I click the navi button nothing happens at all.

Also, can I set the viz to always be on by default rather than having to push the button?

In RRConfig do you have GPS set to External or Menu?

I dont support the MENU option so you have to set GPS Mode to External
Thats the only thing i can think of that would make the navi button not do anything when u click it.

That was it LS. Sorry, I forgot to edit my post but I found a while back in the thread where you suggested to ensure external is checked. That did it.

So, I updated the skins for the audio but is there no searching the library other than the magnifying glass? I would prefer to use the lettered buttons at the bottom but nothing happens when I click them. I assume that's the iList?

iList is stinky for me. Love the idea/concept but love it alot more in practice on my phone. The iList in RR is just too clunky. It took me forever to get to "L" in my library tonight.

the easiest way to autostart FreeFone is to create a shortcut of FreeFone.exe and stick it in your windows startup folder. Right click the shortcut > Properties> and next to the Run: option choose Minimized from the dropdown list.

This way FreeFone will be started everytime windows starts but in a hidden state, when u click the Phone button it will ready and waiting for you.

There is a command in RR to load applications in the background, but FreeFone didnt seem to respond to the RUNQ (run quiet) command and still loaded in the foreground. So the best way to do it with the shortcut.

The magnifying glass does search your library, just the audio library. You can search by artist/track or file name. The results should show up in the list.

im a little confused about the letter buttons on the bottom though, you say when u click them nothing happens, but u also say it took forever to get to the letter L ?

Using the letter buttons with the ilist should be pretty fast, takes less than a 2 sec to jump around to different letters for me. Are you certain you have the very latest RR 12/13/07
I know there were some issues with previous versions and ilist jumping to an item in the list that was far away would take a very long time, but i believe all those issues have been fixed.

if I click on the letters to "jump" to a certain letter in the ilist nothing happens. When I mentioned going to letter "l" I meant by flicking through the ilist forever.

I have the latest 12/13 rr.

This is not a major update, more of a refresh to get everyone on the same page. A few bug fixes and a few small additions/changes. I cant remember all the changes, but if you asked for something and dont see it just drop a note and i'll see what i can do.
This update does not disable ilist, that will be in a separate download later this week.

The one notable change that some may or may not like is the video browser.
It now looks like this.



If you do not have cover art for your video library, then im pretty sure you will want the old way back. No worries, there is a backup of the old video library included with the skin. Simply find and delete video_browser.skin. Rename video_browser_bkup.skin to video_browser.skin and you are back to the list method of the video browser.

Also, as stated in the link to the download, this is NOT a full skin release, just a small update and thus will not function on its own and a previous install of 3.2 is required. So DO NOT uninstall your 3.2 version. Just copy the files in the update ontop of your existing install and overwrite all files. Your settings will not be changed, but the skin will default back to the default bloody mary theme (red) and you will need to choose your GPS layout again.

3.5 is just around the corner and im gathering a list of features/changes that i want to add that will justify a .5 release. So if there is something you really want to be added or changed now would be the time.

If you have or run into any issues with the update let me know asap, i was in some serious pain when i was getting it all ready last night, but everything should be in order.

Thanks for all your hard work. A few items that I would love to see in 3.5 are as follows.

1. Bluetooth Properties/Pairing Skin
2. Abilty to configure WiFi in RR
3. SlingPlayer embedded in RR
4. VoIP embedded in RR (I think SJPhone from SJLabs is supposed to be skinnable)
