Are you putting in the correct window name? Sounds like this is whats missing, if its launching the app but not embedding it. There is a demo video of this feature watch that and see if there is anything you are missing, all of the steps must be completed for it to work.
For the sync notes, it should work fine, you likely need to setup some options for syncnotes. This is a feature i really didnt talk much about since im actually working on something better and more integrated and likely will remove sync notes in the next update. But the buttons for sync notes in teh skin, they just send keys to sync notes, so make sure you have the default shortcut keys in syncnotes enabled and that its also installed to the default path.
I cant check on the machine im on now, but later ill double check how i have it all setup and post any missing/additional info you may or may not need.
I thought you were asking how to remove the demo mode, some people new to RR and winamp, on the first run see the word demo and think its not a full app, when its just the song title of a demo track that comes with winamp.

Even with it not being flash based, RR (and this skin) run very slowly on my VIA Epia 533Mhz board. Other RR skins are much worse. I've learned to deal with it but it just isn't responsive. However, once I load a screen, it loads it in RAM so the next time I go to that screen its quicker. Frodoplayer and Mediaengine worked alot faster than RR on my system. I've been hesitant with upgrading my MB because I've heard that going to say a Epia M10000 doesn't make a dramatic difference and that I'm better off going with an standard ATX pentium or athlon MB.

i firmly believe that 1.2 ghz EPIA = 800 mhz intel. I have a 1ghz pentium that runs this skin just fine.

yeah I'm not thrilled about the performance of this board for sure. It had a nice set of features onboard though, which was the reason for selecting it.

ha, or maybe even lower like 600Mhz. The biggest issue with non intel/amd processors is that pretty much no application has code optimizations for those chips. amd/intel has a bunch of optimizations stuff mmx,3dnow,hyperthreading ect, ect (cant remember them all) i dont think epia has any, its pretty much a no thrills chip, with its only real benefit being low power and small form factor. In the car low power and small form are important but IMO arent deal breakers. Personally i would never use a epia based computer for anything media related, the lowest end yesterdays news intel chips are better performers.
For those with general RR performace pains.
There are a few steps you can do to make the situation better in RR.
enable precaching.
This should already be setup by default for this skin unless you edit it out in RR.ini.
basically RR will preload screens into memory while its loading up.
In RR.ini you should see a few lines that look like below.
preload=alt_menu_cont.skin;MAIN MENU
preload=alt_menu_cont2.skin;SUB MENUS
preload=audio_player_advanced.skin;AUDIO
preload=audio_player.skin;AUDIO ADV
preload=EXTERNAL_GPS.skin;NAVIGATION
preload=audio_browser.skin;LIBRARY
preload=PICK_menu.skin;TOOLS
this is the list of screens that RR will preload, you can change these to point to screens that you use more often.
enable fast mode
In RR.ini add this line
fastmode=1
check the readme.txt file for RR to view the different options for this line.
Turn off screen transitions
If you have them on, turn them off. If they are off, leave them off.
Edit the screen limit
In RR.ini add or edit the below line.
screenlimit=12
This value will be different based on how much memory you have and how many screens you want RR to hold in memory.
Do not use flash although this skin has some (very minor) flash elements, it is not a flash skin. Im not sure why some think it is, ive actually gotten several PM's for flash help, sorry i cant help u there.
But if you are not married to having a flash car logo displayed, turn it off (there are over 10 main menu options, choose one that doesn't have a logo).
This wont buy you a lot of cycles back, but anything helps if you are performance challenged.
Those are all the tips i can think of now. Hope it helps somebody.
