My wish list for the next version:

. Google Earth BETA plugin - i know u already talked about this. it wud be great to have the beta included for us to play with

. Goops (?)

. Flash Traffic - already exists, just need a matching sking from you

. Traffic Cameras (?)

. Working Trip Log - minor fix

. New Online indicator w/ audio confirmation - would be a nice feature to have!

. Signal Strength indicators on main page (WiFi, Phone, Laptop Battery, CPU Usage, etc..)

. Full Screen VIZ with audio controls, and buttons to change the Viz (i use a lot of different viz presets and i like to cycle thru them. It'll be great to have buttons for that - similar to the hidden buttons, but in a full screen viz)

. Button to launch full-screen viz (i hate having to double click my viz with my fingers).
I know u have that other (almost) full screen viz but that is really slow on my pc 'cuz of the resolution. its easier to just go full screen.

. 'Today' Main Screen - similar to the windows mobile phones - with relavant information on the main page like weather, emails, rss, etc...

I know you're working on a lot already, but like i said, this is just a "wish-list"

I believe this is due to the ratings plugin that is bundled with the skin if you also have RR installed to a non default path but im still not 100% sure about that but was an earlier theory. Right now i have RR running from my thumbdrive on E:\Road Runner and havnt seen the issue myself yet. But you can try to move your RR install to the default path of C:\Program Files\Road Runner and see if fixes it for you.

Im also assuming the script you are talking about is ratecheck.exe

Nice ideas, i like a few of them. Some of them you'll likely never see from me though. Like traffic cams. I never really bought into the idea of traffic cams as being a good way to judge traffic congestion. But a today screen sounds very cool the only problem being there really isnt any good information to display in RR to really make it how it should be. There isnt a general rss reader in RR, nor email support with RSS beiing something i really want in RR. Hell its pretty hard to find a decent rss reader on the pc and there are tons of them available (not sure what problem is there).


GE beta and Goops pretty much do the same thing right? Ill try to finish up the GE support, esp since i was actually one of the first people to try it before it was put up for general testing. I got a bit busy and just couldn't really find the time to dig deep into it. Not sure if that will make the next release though. Im pretty much 95% done with the 2.5 version and ill likely add a few more small ticket items but anything that takes too much time will get put on hold.

kind of working on trying to get Flash Traffic in, you can see my comments in the thread. 2 things that will stop me from including it is, 1 if its not working reliably and if the speed is still too slow. So im almost on the verge of passing it up. But technically its already integrated into the skin.

if the visuals go to true fullscreen, you will loose the ability to display anything else on screen so you cant have any buttons etc. Unless you are talking about a screen made specifically for visuals that has the appearance of fullscreen?

audio confirmation for online status would be cool and shouldn't be hard to add at all. Ill start thinking of a cool non annoying sound to use.

more on the today screen idea, ill sleep on this some more as i do like the idea with the only issue being relevant/useful info to display.

signal strenth indicators, this would be one of those things that could be used on the today screen. not sure if wifi is available as a indicator but should be easy to hack in.
