Close RR and manually edit the rr.ini file - change the commport value to yours.

See if that helps - I have had issues with different variables randomly not saving in the rrconfig gui.

    Question Display of song information

I'm not getting the correct song information displayed. The information in Winamp about the song is correct. Song name, Artist, Album, Year and Genre are all correct but only Song name is being displayed and it's in the Artist field. This happens on both the main screen and the Player. On other screens the song name is displayed as "Song Name - blank". I expect that it should display "Album - Song Name".

Album art is displaying just fine.

Music is encoded as m4a's and Winamp is version 5.33 if that makes any difference.

The default RR skin shows a scrolling Song Name.

This could be a basic RR issue but this is the only skin that I can really see the problem happening on.

    EDIT

Well it looks like it has something to do either with Winamp 5.33 or m4a encoding. I'll have to reinstall 5.33 and run it with the mp3 files. If it works with them then it's the m4a files. I'll update when I figure this out.

    /EDIT

I recall John doing some kind of a fix that solved the problem. I use the blue skin. The blue skin has been the flagship of DigitalFX and my sense from reading through the posts is that blue is the most up-to-date. If I were you I would try Sirius with the blue and see if it works. If so, the issue is peculiar to the copper skin. If not, it it related to the Sirius skin in general. Please post the result so John will know how to address the issue.
I tried the blue and several others all with same result. I tried some other skins after the DFX 2.0 install and actually got the same thing (sat radio shows xm preview channel 1 and my mp3s in the play list). I uninstalled RR and DFX2 and reinstalled it all. copied the new RR exe to the RR dir and the lines from the ini to the rr.ini. still same thing. I really want this DFX2.0 to work its the only one I have found that has a big easy button interface and it makes sense (and has sirius and phone support).

    Please help!

Transparent FX works great and I love all the backgrounds. I bought one of the Silabs radios and am having a go with it.

Question: How do I get the "album art" to show for the radio stations? I have the art in jpg - do I save it in the RR directory, do I save them as frequency (10770.jpg) or station name (KSLZ - POP.jpg) or what, where, how?

    John,

I've noticed this since DigitalFX skin but never mentioned it. If I manually select a song via the playlist and then switch to the player skin, the artwork does not show but rather shows the artwork for the last song played. Now, if the last played song had no artwork, then it will show the artwork of the manually selected song.

Is anyone else having this issue or is it just my crazy system?

I remember asking that exact same question with the digital effects 1.0 release. I was told that it is a function of when road runner looks up the album art, and not a skin function. So probably Guino is the best to ask that question to.

Thats funny, I hyst read this in the SkinCommands.txt file while looking for something else a couple days ago:
Radio Art should be in the RadioArt subfolder with the frequency as the name for the station. Examples: 9250.gif 10330.gif etc...
As for the album art not changing on certain screens:

RR has always been a little lazy about updating that. You can add a line somewhere in the skin that you want to make sure it is updated, when you go to that skin:
    /DISCARDABLE

that line can go anywhere in a skin file on a line by itself. This means that RR will force itself to re-load the skin images, and any artwork ect on that skin whenever you go to it.
