    Bug or oversight.

Not sure if this is a bug, oversight or it's suppose to do this but on the latest version: Clicking on the player button on the full player skin, switches between the full player and playlist screens.

Has anyone mentioned about when on the GPS Stats page.. the E in east character does a little loop (physically moves and turns upside down) before returning to its original place?

I can try capturing in camtasia if needed?
Hehehehe the E has had a bit too much to drink That is unfortunately the way the original flash file was. I just edited it in flash to change the colors to better match the skin. I am not a flash programmer in any way!

Oops! fixed for next release. But seriously, when you are on the Full Player screen, why would you want to switch to the full player screen

    Hi to all of you.
John, DFX is a great job and is the reason why I 've decide to try it. For 2,5 years I work with Frodo and a great skin I did for my needs and for the infos we can have in Greece. I 've read almost all of the pages in this thread and I have the last versions of RR and DFX. I noticed some problems that I can't resolve reading the posts. For example Video (video clips) and DVD (movies) share the same directory and the players read only the root dir not subfolders. The picture viewer has the same problem. If you organize your photos in folders is very tricky to see them. And when I exit Image Viewer menu the program stays in the background so when I exit RR I can see a black frame and I have to close imageviewer with CTRL-ALT-DEL . When I press the GPS button (I work with MapMonkey and D3) MapMonkey starts and RR minimizes. If I exit MapMonkey, RR never return in full screen. It stays in TAB mode and I have to end it. I receive the same result from any menu that have the GPS button.
I understand this is a big project and a lot of programs have to cooperate so I have to say first of all, a big thank you, and I hope you can help me a bit. As I work with RR and you skin I would like to express my thoughts on how to make it easier and more effective, if you want it too.
(My english isn't the best, so excuse me friends)

And something more. When I use search in the playlist menu. A new window open with Jump to file and an error message appears. "Please be sure you 're using the Classic Skin".

I can answer this one -

Open Winamp outside of Roadrunner and change it's skin to the classic skin. That is a winamp plugin that won't work using the "modern" skin of Winamp.

You can make a video folder, with all of your subfolders inside of that (Thats how I did it on my machine) You need to organize them in a tree fashion like this:

    D:\Videos
    D:\Videos\DVD
    D:\Videos\Music Videos
    D:\Videos\Misc Videos
This way When I press the "Video" button on the main menu, the list in the browser looks like this:

    DVD
    Music Videos
    Misc Videos

You can check the FAQ at the top of the forums on how to browse multiple locations and hard drives HERE

I have not had that problem here, the program closes when I leave that screen. I did place some extra code on the button though, so hopefully when the next release comes out in a couple days or so, this will work as intended for you.

    Hello John,

Awesome work on your skin, really bleeding edge stuff your doing here. I knew a transparent skin would surface soon, just wanted to congratulate you on the successful implementation. I'm in the midst of programming my skin and was wondering if you could give me a pointer about how you coded your skins so that the iGuidance window will 'snap' to different skins. Right now my gps skin will embed the iG without a problem but I want a full screen mode and I cannot get the gps skin to release iG and let it embed in the gps_full menu. You skin seems to do this flawlessly. Any tips or tricks that you could share??

*edit* Nevermind, I took a look at your code and that explained everything. Again excellent work and great coding. I hate skins that look nice but don't function good. Your skin is very well coded.
Build Things, it keeps your brain busy.

Thanks for the quick response. John I surely thought about that you say, but when music browser works with sub folders why not the video and dvd player and of course picture player. You see I organize music, videos, pictures like this: Genre / Group / Album / Song and album.jpg. Exactly the same for videos. And pictures like: Kind / Date and Happening / Pictures. That's a usefull way to find anything quickly. In the car, to my desktop, to a DVD Player ... I got thousands of files. Anyway this program isn't only for me!!! But I think that when you drive it is more confortable to press just one button than to search in menus. Of course driver can't play all the time with buttons. That's another reason for the skin to be easy. If a friend is a codriver, I should all the time tell him how to use RR when it is obvius for anyone that when you press a button you get what it says on it. That's why I ask it. As for Winamp (JJnit answer) I will try to check it. But I never change the skin of winamp. That happens when I installed the last version of DFX (40 mbs). Hope I am not so boring with my thoughts.
As you could see I am an older member than most of you, but I post very few times, when I have to. And I think this project worth our attension. So try to make first of all friendly and not full of options. You can add more and more options by the time. We 'll be here to support it.
My best wishes and have a "Good Month" as we say in Greece.

    ...
It could be that other skins don't use the Jump-to-file plugin (which is a winamp plugin), therefore not causing that error before. As far as I know, it's not in the BMV skin at least. That might help explain why you didn't see it until you used this skin.

If you have Winamp 5.x installed though, I believe the installer defaults to the modern skin which doesn't handle some legacy plugins - JTF being one.
