Digital FX 2.0 Transparent Released

I was trying to use Softec's street and trips skin that he made for BMV2. Do you have something similar already built in that I'm overlooking? When I press GPS in DigitalFX I get a screen tailored to IG. I was looking for something that would integrate S&T 2007 into this skin and the skins buttons would work S&T. Most things in Softec' s skin do work with yours except of course the color, a full screen glitch, and S&T's opens a second time when you go back to the main menu and then back to gps.

You have to change the settings in the RRConfig utility so use streets and Trips.
EDIT:

Actually the easiest way to get this to work for you is to:

Open the Exectb.ini file in the DigitalFX Skin folder in notepad
Add the following line anywhere to that file and save it.

Code:

 "GPS","LOAD;StreetsTrips.skin||RUN;C:\Program Files\Microsoft Streets and Trips\Streets.exe;Map - Microsoft Streets & Trips"

Run RR and when you press the GPS button it should work for you.

we are talking about the XM channels not showing up. The cache not updating. when XM adding new channels.

I was not talking about the XM Art. I posted all of then in one of my post earlier.

Here is the new XMCache.ini file in a zip. It will open all the channels.

The XM art is in there, but if the XM cache is wrong you are not going to see it all correctly.

Thanks for the new update. I noticed that I am still having troubles with the new main page, after I exit to the main menu from RRearth. I figured out how to make a screen snapshot using the windows keyboard of the problem below.

I also noticed that the buttons in the rate song menu don't have any text on them?? Forgot to take a snapshot of that...

How much do you want to bet that people want instructions on how you did that

I am not sure what is causing that, but I will get with Guino, and see if he has anything to resolve it. I have to admit, that looks pretty kewl! hahahah

As for the rate song skin not having text on the buttons.... Hmmmm I have labels on them using a standard "Ariel" font. Here is a screen capture of the skin, that I installed with the latest installer:

All new skins that I do or edit, will no longer have the text in the image files. It will be done as labels in the skin itself. This is in preparation (Way down the road) to have all text on the skin, be a selectable color, from within the skin itself. That will put that last little remaining customization needed into the skin. This is going to be a lengthy process, so do not expect it any time soon, sorry! My intent is to make a custom font, that will have all of the icon images that are in the skin now (Play, FF, RW, Power and so on). This will allow the ability to say take a dark blue skin, and with a click, change all icons and fonts to say a nice teal color to match. Again it is probably months away, but is a preview of things to come.

I just made a new XM Cache.ini file with all the new channels and with the new name of the some old channels.

I will post it later tonight.

Quick problem I noticed after the install of 2.0...I am having some problems getting into the EX settings under the player for the new skin. Whenever I try to click on the EX button it minimizes the player and then it does not allow me to maximize the player from the toolbar. I did not have this issue on the previous blue version of this skin.

Well that is my fault, I was working on that skin, and added the ability for the preset button to be highlighted, showing the current preset being used. It was a bit tricky, as Road Runner does not have indicators for those buttons, so it had to be coded into the skin. I forgot to save out the png files and correct skin to the directory the installer works from. It will be fixed in the next release.

Note: It is not actually minimizing Road Runner, Road Runner just thinks that there is an actual skin on the screen

Pressing the "ESC" key, if you have a KB in the car, will get you back to normal.
