    Winamp Versions

    Ok, there seems to be some confusion on the Version of Winamp to use. 2.95 is recommended by Guino, but will not work with the transparent visualizations. In ANY case, make sure that you use the "Classic Skin". The Modern skin will just cause problems, and you will never see what WinAmp looks like anyways.

    Here is a quote from the DFX Help file on how to set up the transparent visualizations :

    How Do I.....Change the Visulization to a spectrum analyzer? Ok, this modification is not for the faint at heart, and you will need to make a few settings changes to make it work correctly. Unless you really want to get deep into this, do not attempt this, as a newer version of Winamp is required, and it is not supported by Road Runner Officially. You will need to download and install Winamp 5.13. Winamp versions between 5.2 and up WILL NOT WORK! You can download Winamp Version 5.13 HERE
    It even has the link to the version to download

    Is the backgrounds path hard coded? I've got this skin up and working but while in the change background menu I don't see the backgrounds listed so the skin stays in white/transparent mode. This is a custom install that I did not use the installer for.

    I'm teaching myself the GDI+ stuff and this skin is a great learning resource. Not to mention all the little scripts and apps included. Again very nice work John your programming is superb.

    make sure in your rr.ini

    you have this

    fastmode=-1
    picspath=C:\Program Files\Road Runner\skins\DigitalFX 2.0\Backgrounds

    picspath being your background folder of your .jpg images,this folder is automatically installed from the skin installer

    Thank You! Skin works really nice/ This GDI stuff is pretty quick, seems faster than the standard solid image menu system. .

    I am going to start saving my skin files out as PNG as soon as I read about more what are the color requirements for saving out the files.

    Hey whats up guys? Ive been trying to get freefone working with this skin. I was wondering if one you guys could point me in the right direction. Ive got the broadcom drivers installed on my carpc. However when I search for devices and available services serial port nor audio galaxy is available. I have tried with the Motorola SLVR, V3, V3i, and Samsung BlackJack. Any help would be great thankyou.

    I went through the wizard and got it to discover my V3i. Blackjack still no luck on. I believe I need some kind of phocoadapter which is a virtual serial port. Im going to try to install a free virtual serial port. Maybe that will help.

    I would like to make some changes to this skin but have no idea where to begin or if what I want to do is even possible.

    Here's what I'd like to do. On the the player skin in the window where you can either have the album art or GPS I'd like to have the playlist. Either by adding to/changing the button that goes from Album Art/GPS, making it Album Art/GPS/Playlist. Or by changing the Visualize button. I don't use visualizations so it's of no use to me.

    so any help at all would be greatly appreciated.

    Very low volume in all videos

    I have been beating my head with this one.

    When I play a video within Roadrunner/DigitalFX, you can barely hear the volume. When I play music, it is very loud. Getting out of RoadRunner, if I play the video, it is as loud as the music.

    I have tried this playing video with winamp, windvd and media player and they all exhibit the same characteristics as far as volume when played within RoadRunner. I did change the skin to the default bmw and the same thing.

    Does anyone have any idea how I can fix this?

    Thanks
