Yes, the problem was using XPORT on ports > COM9 (thanks!).
Now, you can't run 2 instances of that thing, can you? What if I want to split my OBD-II at the same time?
LOL. If I run out of problems then I better find another hobby with problems to solve
I see what you mean and it makes sense. However I will give it a shot and see what happens. Let you know. Remember, I am using bluetooth for both GPS and OBD so things may get a bit scary !
On another note...
I am trying to add the OBD-DIAG as an external application to roadrunner. Winspector is telling me the class name is ThunderRT6FormDC and text is OBD-DIAG. I tried all the possible combinations with the "!" and without the "!" but still roadrunner can't find it. Same with the "Creative MediaSource Player" that comes with the audigy card, the class name is RtxFrame.... I suspect some vb stuff??
This question may belong in some other thread, however I believe this OBD-DIAG has been mentioned in this thread before so perhaps the digitalfx warriors (lol) may already have the answers to that question.
I currently do not own any ODB hardware. The research I have done is sketchy at best. I have found so many programs, and some offer to work with certain makes and models of cars, and not others.
THIS ONE for instance looks great, as you can use the gauge designer to make your own gauges to display information. The downside is that it will only work with Mitsubishi, and limited Dodge manufacturers.
I had always thought that ODB II information was a standard of sorts, but this seems to say otherwise. Anyone that can shed more information on this, or some type of software ect that is more "universal" would be fantastic.
I'm really sorry if this has been asked before, but I can't seem to locate the screen where you can adjust iGuidance and System Volume from the DigitalFX Helpfile? I have set to pause music when iGuidance speak, but it doesn't seem to work. I'm just starting to configure and customize RR for the last 6 hours or so, lack of sleep So I might have missed something obvious!
Thank you for your response.
Ok I have a question .. I had xport assigned to ports 3 & 4 and everything worked great for MS S&T and the gps_status page. I'm using a garmin legend as my gps hooked up to the com port. Sometimes if I start windows with the gps on it makes the cursor jump around and all kinds of strange things happen. But once I turn it off it's fine. I installed xport and I think that went away. But then I installed a bt adapter and now all kinds of strange things are happening. I can get the bt to pair with my phone, but I can't get Freephone to work ? I see the bluesoleil program connects to com port 6 so I set the settings.ini to port 6 and still no connection. Plus the xport doesn't work correctly when the bt starts ? When I open the device manager I see that the bt starts ports ??? 3 thru ?? 12 don't remember exactly ? Do I need to assign xport to higher ports that the bt adapter isn't using ? do I need to enable a port in xport for freephone to work ? I'm confussed !

I'm using a calendar software as an external app also. I know that youyou already have a button in your skin but it's not workin yet.
I'm a newbie. I'm in a point where I'll be putting my pc on the trunk tomorrow. Everything else is good to go.
Where do I save my pics and videos so they can be seen in your skin
When I click on the pictures menu item, the whole screen goes black with a recentangular box at the top screen. Can't get out of it. Have to kill it via Task Manager and RR works fine.
Do I need to set up any parameters for this to work?
Is there any other way to setup weather buttons to bring up the OSK other than holding down the button? I have TabletPC installed and by holding down the button for about 2 seconds, the right-click option window comes up instead. I can never get to the OSK.
